"Woah Woah Woah! Slow down, Huxley!" Julie yells before limping over to me.

Damn, I really kicked her hard.

"What do you mean 'you're mine'?" She asks with her hands on her hips.

"I mean I think it's pretty self-explanatory-"

"Don't fuck with me right now Rowan." She warns.

"I'm not fucking with you, Ramirez." I chuckle.

"Since when have you liked me?" She asks.

"A while." I shrug.

For the last 4 years.

"Okay...well let's get one thing clear, I am not something you can put a claim on, got it?" She asks while glaring at me.

I try my best not to smile at how cute she looks while she's angry.

Her nose scrunches and her perfect heart-shaped lips pout.

She's so small.

"Hm let me think about it...nope, you're still mine," I smirk before walking away again.

I hear her let out a frustrated groan before she begins limping after me again.

"ROWAN! Stop walking so fast! We're not done talking!" She says.

I roll my eyes before turning to face her again.

"What else is there to talk about?" I ask.

"Everything!" She yells.

I look down at her amused as she tries to catch her breath.

We haven't even made it outside yet.

"You okay?" I ask.

All she does is let out a loud sigh before holding up her hand.

"Oh for fuck's sake Jules." I sigh before bending down and carrying her in my arms.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm enjoying this a lot more than I should.

"Let me go! I'd rather crawl back." She says before crossing her arms over her chest.

"Works for me." I shrug before pretending to let go of her.

She lets out a shriek before wrapping her arms around my neck.

When she looks over at me to send me a glare, our faces are only a couple of inches away from each other.

"Uh..." She clears her throat before looking away.

"I'm serious Rowan, you don't get to claim me as yours. I'm my own person!" She huffs.

I couldn't help but laugh a bit.

She's clearly friends with Nova.

"Baby, you were mine since the first time I saw you," I whisper and I hear her breath hitch.
