Third POV
"Bua, main madd karun?" (Aunt, can I help?) Ananya asks, Rani Kunti.
"Kar paogi?" (Will you be able to do it?) Karn raises an eyebrow.
"Hum Khanna banana behad behtarin tarike se jaante hai, Kaunteya." (I know how to cook in a very extravagant way, Kaunteya.) Ananya says, as she ties her dupatta on the back side and walks to her Bua. "Dekhna toh ye hai, ki aap apna haath kitni bar jalatein hai." (Now, what we need to see is how many times, you burn yourself.) Ananya mock smiles at him.
"Main Kaunteya, Radheya Karn Hun, Ananya. Mere liye kuch mushkil nahi." (I am Kaunteya, Radheya Karn, Ananya. Nothing is difficult for me.) Karn says proudly.
"Yaad rakhiye ga Radheya, vyakti kitna hi mahan Kyun na ho, ghamand ke vas karte hi, uska dhan, Vaibhav aur vansh tino chale jatein Hain." (Remember this Radheya, a person may be very great but when pride comes in his mind, he loses his money, glory and ancestry (family)) Ananya says, a smile like that Damodaran, her brother.
"Ma, aapko pata hai, yeh ladki na Vasudeva ki stree Rup hai. Isse Bach kar rahiyega." (Mom do you know; this girl is the female version of Vasudeva. Stay safe from her.) Karn says walking up to his mother and...... friend.
Ananya just sticks her tongue out at him and Rani Kunti giggles at their antics. Rani Kunti watches them as Karn and Ananya help each other in washing hands and Ananya instructs and helps Karn in adding the sugar to the kheer, as they heat it slightly. They sort of know what the other person is going to do. It was least to say, interesting to see.
"Kya Ho Gaya?" (What happened?) Karn asks, pouting Ananya.
"Mujhe gud wali kheer Jayada pasanda hai aur usse bhi Jayda Kesar wali." (I find jaggery kheer better than this and saffron one even better.) She tells her...... friend.
"Par woh toh abhi nahi miltein." (But they aren't found in this season.) Karn says, in an obvious tone.
"Haan, Haan. Pata hai Mujhe." (Yes, yes. I know.) She replies in an irritated tone.
"Toh fir abhi kaise layein?" (Then how will we get it now?) Karn questions, folding his hands on his chest.
"Mujhe abhi Kaliyuga se bahut chijein yaad aa rahi hai." (I missing things from Kaliyuga.) She says her tone dejected.
