Third POV

"Par yeh sab kis liye?" (But why all this mess) Nakul asks.

"Shada- Yantra." (Conspiracy.) All the brothers turn in surprise to look at their eldest sister- in- law, who stood almost at the entry of the gate. Her face a mask of stoicism.

"Hume is raj mahal Mein zinda jalane ka shada- yantra." (The conspiracy of burning us alive in this, royal palace.) Karn catches up, with what Ananya was talking about.

"Hume Mata se iske bare Mein baat karna chahhiye." (We should talk to mother about all this.) Yudhishthira suggested.

"Par Mujhe ek baat nahi samajh aa rahi, yeh kar kon raha hai?" (But I am not able to get one thing, who is doing this?) Nakul questions.

"Dushassan?" Arjun questions. Then promptly passes an apologetical glance to Duryodhana.

"Woh bad Mein sochenge, Mujhe yeh nahi samajh aa raha ki jisne bhi yeh shadya- yantra banaya, usse yeh Kyun nahi laga ki hum yahan se bach ke bhag jayenge?" (We will think that later, I am not able to understand that whoever is behind this conspiracy, why did he not feel that we will run away from this royal house?) Sehdev questions.

"Chuha." (Mouse.) Yudhishthira exclaimed.

"Kya?" (What?) The brothers turn to Yudhishthira, who simply points in the direction.

There near the bowl of Kheer was the mice lying un- moving, as if he died having the kheer.

Karn and Duryodhana locked eyes, before both murmured the same thing, "Vish." (Poison.)
Their mind going back to the green thing they saw Purochan mixing.

"Kheer Mein vish hai, yaani ki hum use kha kar so jaate. Nind Mein humari mrityu Ho jati aur aag Mein hum puri tarah khatam Ho jate." (The Kheer has poison, meaning that we would have poison and sleep. We would die in our sleep and in the fire, we would burn, leaving behind nothing.) Arjun concludes as to what would have happened.

"Haan." (Yes.) Karn nods agreeing with what inference Arjun brought over.

"Dushassan ke sivay bhi iske piche koi hai." (Some other than Dushassan is also behind all this.) Duryodhana mulls over all the facts concluded.
"Woh mera chota bhai hai, main usse janta Hun." (He is my younger brother, I know him.)
