Chapter65: Never gone, always there

As snow fell down in ninjago. The resistance or what was left of it was building and preparing for Christmas that was coming very soon. Kai was making hot Chocolate for the resistance as his sister nya was walking towards him. "Hey Kai, what are you up to?" The spikey haired boy looked at his sister before smiling. "Just making some hot Chocolate for everyone to try to get everyone's mind off you know losing Lloyd, and then losing harumi" Nya looked away at the mention of that topic, she didn't like being reminded that she lost her baby brother and Harumi it was such a painful topic to her. Kai noticed the look his sister had, and knew she was still very upset at the memetion Of there lost friends. "I'm sorry sis, I forgot that your still not used to it it. Not that you should be, because I miss him too" he put a hand on his sisters shoulder and engulfed her into a big hug. The girl managed to smile just for a mere split moment before frowning again. "I know Kai, it's just un real it feels like we are in a dream, and when we wake up lloyd and harumi will be back". Kai smiled at his sister. "I know sis I'm sorry, that all of this happened I know how much you loved him as a brother". Nya nodded at that response before wiping a tear that was about to go down her face. "Come on Kai, let's go hand out the hot chocolates" she grabbed a handful before heading out of the shack and into the middle of the junkyard.

Soon after they were all handed out the two siblings sat on a roof and looked up at the sky above them. Nya took a sip of her drink before her brother took a deep breath and spoke. "Lloyd would of loved tonight, the sky is blanketed with stars" the raven haired girl nodded at her brother knowing Lloyd would in fact love the sky tonight. "Yeah, he would. He would always love looking up at the sky and naming constellations that garmadon taught him when he was a kid" at the name of the oni lord the two went slient for near moments the raven haired girl spoke once again to her brother. "Kai I promise we will avenge him, he will not die in vain" the master of fire weakly smiled at his sister before they both leaned on each other while continuing to look up at the beautiful stars. Nya looked up at the sky, remembering all the time she spent with Lloyd and there family. But now Since Lloyd was taken away they have felt empty inside since her there little brother was gone and he was never ever coming back ever. Kai noticed his sisters mood and held his sisters hand. "It's okay sis, his grandfather is watching over him now. He's happy where he is" Nya smiled weakly at her brother. "Yeah your right, and he even has harumi with him. Now they can never be separated again" the boy smiled and nodded at his sister.

Nya smiled looking at his brother. "Do you remember when Lloyd was younger and I tried teaching him how to wear makeup, and he used lipstick all over his face turning it pink?" Her brother laughed at that memory. "Yes of course I remember sis, he came out while Zane was cooking. Master Wu was Furious I never seen him that mad" the boy chuckled before continuing."well actually that is a lie I've seen him more madder then that but still" Nya smiled. "His face was pink for weeks, it was like superglue on his face no matter how much we tried we couldn't get it off of him" Nya leaned on her brother while being slient untill she spoke once again. "I miss him so much Kai, after everything that happened, garmadon finally achieved what he's been wanting to do: kill Lloyd. I couldn't protect him" Kai gave his sister a squeeze on the shoulder.

"it's okay nya I've failed him too, especially when Morro wanted revenge and possessed him. I felt awful that I let him down I had a nightmare because of it" Nya turned away at that. They managed to save Lloyd after morro took him, but since he was dead there was no chance this time. Kai hugs his sister again."I'm sorry Im saying all the wrongs things I just wanna cheer you up, but I'm failing at that aren't I? He asked his sister. Who shook her head. "No Kai your not, us talking is actually helping" she turned to her brother smiling. "Thank you Kai" the spikey haired boy smiled back and held his hot chocolate glass in his hand before raising it up."Happy Holidays" she smiled at him as they both raised there glasses and clinked them together. "Happy Holidays"

It was the night before Christmas and the smith twins were outside talking about the past with the team and there little brother, as they were talking it was if it was a sign from the departed realm. Telling the resistance that Lloyd was doing fine, Kai and nya were looking up at the sky taking in all its beautiful stars, and remembering all the good times they had with Lloyd. But when nya looked back up at the sky her eyes widened in shock. "Kai! Look at the sky!" She commanded to her brother. The red ninja was confused but complied with his sister. When he looked up he had the same reaction his eyes blinked he wondered if this was real. He started to call everyone to come here and once everybody was they all wondered what was going on untill Nya pointed at the sky. "Look up there!" She yelled pointing at the canvas. Everyone looked up and smiled there was a line up of six stars, and the littlest one of the stars was shinning bright. Nya hugged her brother. "I guess Lloyd is doing alright up there" she told her brother who smiled, and nodded his head. "He sure is sis he sure is"

And the morning of the most joyful day, everyone gathered around for a Christmas feast and everyone contribute to make, but of course cole didn't cook for that would be disastrous. He did however contribute to making cake for it was the only think he could make. Although they were sad. They still had memories of young Lloyd and he would want them to mourn of angles past for some one once said: "weep not for the past" happy holidays everyone from the resistance

Hello eveyone I hope you enjoyed that chapter, I was a little teary eyed writing it. If you didn't get the reference with the Six stars and the littlest one shining bright. It was a sign from Lloyd in the departed realm, the Six stars represented him and the ninja. The littlest one represented Lloyd since he was the youngest ninja, and he always shined bright in his family's eyes. Merry Christmas late Christmas lol.
