Lizzie laid quietly in her bed, holding the ascendant in her hands thoughtfully.
"What are you going to do with that?" Josie whispered to Lizzie, careful not to wake their parents.
"I don't know." But she did know. She sighed. "We should use it to send Klaus back."
"He killed you."
"I know."
Josie's face was hard. "So we should kill him."
"How would we even do that?"
"Dad has white oak stakes." Josie looked behind her, making sure he was still asleep. "Well, technically I have them now. I say we kill him before Hope tries to stop us."
Lizzie shook her head. "Hope's not gonna try and stop us. She wants her father dead too. I'd be surprised if she wasn't planning it as we speak."
