Shizuka's Reasoning

Mizuko stared towards Princess Shizuka,unable to understand let alone comprehend why. Why a being of Divinity,a Heavenly Entity could bear to say no to that who had created it. The Creator. The Mother of Celestials. So how? How could her own daughter,her fresh and blood say no to her mother's call?

"My Lady please reconsider, The Queen is in dire of need of you and your power." Mizuko begged,her head lowered before Shizuka. Continuing to implore her to return. To go to the place she was born. The Moon,and once again take her rightful place by her mother's side. As the next Queen. But Mizuko did not know,she did not know the true terrors that Shizuka had faced upon living upon the Moon. For if she was aware than maybe she would not ask such a horrid thing. Shizuka bit her bottom lip as she fought with her duty to protect those of this real and then the duty to her heart.

"I cannot and will not return with you,leave now Mizuko. I have no desire to go home."Shizuka announced her once gentle voice was now that of the icy winds of winter. She was harsh,so harsh infact that it quite puzzled Sesshomaru at her sudden change of tone. For he had never seen Shizuka with eyes glazed over with such content it was unnerving. Shizuka was indeed a Celestial Being,and to have such animosity in her eyes it was something that one would not expect to see in one with such Divinity as her. "I beg of you My Lady,push pass your fears for their is more at stake than your own well being." With her back facing Mizuko the figure of Shizuka began to tremble in anger.

How could she not? Not only Mizuko but her own mother wished for her return. Force her to become the punching bag her dear sister so referred her as. Gritting her teeth Shizuka turned towards Mizuko,tears threatening to cascade down her cheeks. "I will not! I will not go back there,she is there! And I will not be a victim of her hatred anymore!" Shizuka screamed her voice becoming hoarse yet the severity of her words could indeed be felt. But what was she referring to Mizuko did not know. Yes there were rumors of Princess Shinimi and her wrong doing. But to state that she had harmed her was indeed something quite dire.

"My sister is a dangerous entity...I cannot.."Shizuka began her very voice becoming shaky as images of her elder sister Shinimi made themselves known to her. Her sister's crimson orbs sending chills down her spine. For it was always those eyes that mocked her. Eyes that belittled her,looked upon Shizuka as if she was nothing but garbage. It was one of the many mind games Shinimi would force her to endure for her own amusement. "Please my Lady,reconsider. Your mother's life is in terrible danger. There is evil lurking within our domain. And it's something that we cannot face alone. We need you Princess." Mizuko informed as she too was near tears. She could not return without her,if she failed such an important task it could very well be the end of her and the Celestials as she knew it.

Shizuka took in a shallow breathe,her emotional filled gaze turned towards Sesshomaru who simply nodded towards her. As if she assure her all was well with him around. And that's when it hit Sesshomaru. Shizuka was afraid of returning due to a certain tramua. But perhaps if her too joined in this journey then maybe Shizuka's worries would be put at bay. Sensing her inner struggle,Sesshomaru stepped towards the Water Celestial, blocking her view of the shaken Shizuka. "I will not allow you to put her in danger,so I will go in her stead." At those words Shizuka immediately protested and firmly began to argue with the brave and handsome Yokai in front of Mizuko. Who was bewildered at the way to two seemed so close to one another.

But how was that possible? He was a demon and Shizuka a Celestial. How could two different being coexsist all of a sudden. Soon enough Mizuko's silent question was answered as Sesshomaru planted a gentle kiss on Shizuka's forhead. Ceasing any further argument that she was prepared to endure. Peering up towards Sesshomaru,Shizuka gripped onto his kimono tightly while muttering words only they could hear. "You can't,the Divine aura of the Moon will purify you instantly."Shizuka muttered unable to take her eyes off the handsome Yokai. "I will manage."Sesshomaru stated with a brief grin before he turned his gaze towards the stunned Mizuko who was still struggling to understand how a relationship could have sparked between the two. Choosing to choose her words wisely Mizuko informed Shizuka that there was a way to protect Sesshomaru from being purified.

"You must use your own power and embed it within an object of great thought. Then and only then will the magic hold and create a sheild that shall protect the yokai. Though he will not be a full strength, he will survive the journey."Mizuko informed as Shizuka couldn't help but to sigh,for she knew she did no have the power to enchant something of that Calibur. "Allow me three days to recover my strength, then and only then...will I return to the Moon." Shizuka stated causing Mizuko to almost jump with joy. "Thank you my Lady. I will contact the Queen. And in three days time we shall return to the heavens."Mizuko said with a smile as she immediately seemed to almost dissipate into things air. Yet her words forever hung in the air. In time Shizuka would return home to a place of beauty but also shame. What would come of this journey? And most of all what was in store for Sesshomaru and Shizuka?
