Dear Readers,

Sorry for the delay everyone, I just moved into my new apartment so been a tad busy. So here's a nice long chapter for you guys! Hope you enjoy :)

          Love,

                      Ashe_hime

Hisuri quickly dressed in her normal attire, careful to bring every blade she carried. The young warrior anxiously made her way to the War Room. Where her father had requested her sudden presence, and at such a late hour. It made Hisuri think, just what was so important that it couldn't wait until daybreak? Excitment teaming at the seams Hisuri took a deep breathe. Careful to smooth out her kimono and fix her hair, not wishing to embarrass herself in front of her father. Sucking in a shallow breathe, Hisuri stepped into the War Room.

As a child Hisuri could recall fond memories within this room. Her younger self hungry for knowledge beyond her years. Always becoming fixated on the maps strewn across her father's desk. Highlighting the different territories in the known world. Hisuri loved imagining what was behind these walls she called home. Were there mountains? Would she be able to smell the fresh greenery around her? Hear the native animals chattering in the distance? My just the very thought of it made Hisuri's skin prikle in excitement.

Not sure what future had in store for her today, Hisuri continued her advancement. Becoming almost completly emersed in what appeared to be hundreds of books which outlined the entire room. Each book filled with knowledge needed for a "Great Conquer" Sesshomaru in fact was. And after scanning multiple spines of books, Hisuri knew another side of her father. A more cultured side to him, whom enjoyed books with titles such as "Poetic Art" "War of Words, nor blades". It also showed Hisuri that her father was not just a man of war which deep down she always knew. Yet others didn't.

They saw her father as a powerful being, with a gaze as cold as ice. Weilding katanas of immense power, power that no yokai had ever possessed. And yet Sesshomaru did. Not only that but Sesshomaru also had another source of power. A being who's power surpassed Sesshomaru. The woman whom Hisuri had yet to truly meet, and ached to gaze upon. Her mother. Shizuka, Celestial Maiden of the Moon. A Primodial Goddess taken flesh, living among man. It was a dangerous gamble, to dare live in the "Realm of Man" yet Shizuka did. Falling for Sesshomaru and giving life to both Souma and Hisuri.

Yes, it was not only Sesshomaru or Shizuka enemies feared. Oh no, far from it. They feared their combined abilities knowing with that together the two could conquer all of creation if they wished. It was the what if, the uncertain future that stirred the fear within not only yokai but Gods as well. Hisuri felt it, the sudden change in the wind as of late. The alarming quietness which swept over a mountain in the far distance. Hisuri couldn't quite put her finger on it but she felt something drawing her to that mountain. The almost magnetic force becoming stronger each passing day, Hisuri had always wondered what it was but to no avail. But maybe today, she would get the answers she sought.

Bowing her head Hisuri came to a stop at her father's desk. Sensing his presence so vast, overwhelming almost. Rippling with unrelenting power yet with a sense of gentleness. Almost as if the beastly aura within him had been temporarily tamed. Yet even so the beast remained awaiting to be awakened. Enranged to the point of being able to release his pent up energy. Swallowing a lump in her throat, Hisuri was allowed to raise her head. Only to meet the stern amber orbs belonging to her father. Entrancing the young princess whom had been absent from her father's side for quite sometime due to training.

It had not been that long, yet Hisuri had forgotten how similar her father's eyes were with her brother's. She also recalled asking her father one day why her eyes were not the Daiyokai hue. For being raised under the watchful eye of a "Great Dog Demon" Hisuri had begun to not only dream of adventure, but of becoming a true "Dog Demon" as well. And the one thing every Dog Demon shared were those burning gold orbs, ones that Hisuri was absent of. And greatly saddened her, for even her grandmother Inukimi.
