The Unfathomable Truth

Shifting Abit in the uncomfortable and unfamiliar surroundings of Shizuka's bedding,Sesshomaru began to stir. Alerting the still slightly flustered Shizuka who struggled to get her wits about her. Knowing the conversation she had been dreading with her love would soon come to light. Groaning slightly Sesshomaru slowly rose from the confines of Shizuka's bed. As of finally the burns upon his body had completely disappeared,leaving nothing but mere red splotches where the wounds once lay. But Shizuka knew that those splotches were merely temporary as she wound tend to Sesshomaru's wounds as soon as she was able. Wiping the beads of sweat from his forhead Sesshomaru soon layed his gaze on Shizuka. Who stood across the bedroom bear her balcony. The gentle night breeze tossing her raven locks about her. Making Shizuka appear to be even more Goddess like than she already was.

Sesshomaru then began to make his way towards the raven haired beauty but he immediately ceased his advance as the keen Daiyokai noticed the mess about the once spotless room. Perfume bottles of multi colored glass lay shattered in multiple pools. Fragments of glass covered the entire floor while the many curtains that adorned the wall had been ripped down with great force. He then turned his attention to Shizuka who seemed to be very on edge about something. And it seemed to be eating at her alive. Hoping to console the fragil creature before him Sesshomaru extended his hand for Shizuka,bidding her to come to him. And fortunately she did. Wrapping his arms around her trembling form Sesshomaru whispered soothing words to her such as "Everything will be alright." But to this Shizuka shook her head,hesitantly she tore herself from Sesshomaru's warm embrace.

Turning her gaze towards the starry sky Shizuka bit her bottom lip. She couldn't help but to tremble as the very words she spoke could change the very fabric of she and Sesshomaru shared. "Tell me what is on your mind, Shizuka." Sesshomaru stated as Shizuka gritted her teeth,taking a deep breathe before she spoke. "Remember,our first night together My Lord?" Shizuka asked her voice filled with such remicent tone Sesshomaru had to stifle back his own sigh as he recalled that night. The first time Sesshomaru gave into temptation and fully endulged himself fully with Shizuka.

For he completely devoured her in not just body but soul as well. Sesshomaru could still feel Shizuka's body tremble underneath him,eyes overcome with an overwhelming lust that desperately needed to be dealt with. And Sesshomaru was the only one who dared. The first who was brave enough to touch of pure flesh, it's aura strong enough to destroy any weak demon if not prepared. Yet Sesshomaru claimed this flesh with a barrage of firey kisses and movements that sent Shizuka to cloud nine. For she herself for the first time felt like an ordinary woman. A woman who chose to give herself to someone. The most powerful and most handsome person she had ever laid eyes on. And she cared not that he was a demon. Nor cared that this was sinful. For Shizuka had already warned not only him but herself. Their union was a sinful one. One that would soon come back to haunt them and today was that day.

"I do."Sesshomaru breathed coming back to his senses as Shizuka slowly turned to Sesshomaru her hands clammy with sweat. "I warned you,that our union was a sinful one. And... One day we would have to pay the price.."Shizuka began her voice almost unauidible as Sesshomaru slowly nodded not quite understanding what she was trying to say. "I don't understand,what are you saying?" The Daiyokai asked as Shizuka through tearfilled eyes clutched her hands into tight fists before sobbing "I'm with child! Your child Sesshomaru!" She cried her words echoing loudly in the Daiyokai's ears. He just couldn't fathom it but he knew it to be true.

Almost as if there was a veil of protection placed around Shizuka something seemed to be triggered. As the sobbing image of Shizuka seemed to crack ever so slowly and shatter completely revealing Shizuka once again but this time with a swollen stomach the size of at least of human of 6 months of pregnancy would appear. Sesshomaru's amber eyes were now wide in realization as the Shizuka's scent suddenly changed ever so slightly as well. The scent alone alerting any yokai about that she was indeed with child. His child. And because of this she cried? Did she cry because it was his child?

Slowly Sesshomaru walked towards the sobbing Shizuka,tilting her head up to meet his amber gaze. "I recall along full responsibility for you,did I not?" Sesshomaru countered with a brief smile only meant for her. Through her tears Shizuka couldn't help but to tremble. "I-I don't want to be your weakness,you want to conquer the land. You cannot do worrying abou-" Shizuka objected but was silenced by Sesshomaru lips pressed against her forehead and his gentle hand upon her swollen belly. She gasped as Sesshomaru nuzzled his face into her hair whispering "You are my woman,and I will conquer the land with you and our child by my side. After all in my dynasty you will be the most beautiful Empress in all the lands. And our child will be born into power. In my protection for eternity."Sesshomaru declared with a warm smile as he gently wiped away Shizuka's remaining tears causing the bleary eyed woman to smile once more.

"Our child will not be a burden,but one of my most greatest treasures."Sesshomaru whispered to his beloved as Shizuka placed her hand on Sesshomaru's nodding with a warm smile. She had nothing to fear. It was as she always believed. He loved her more than destroying his enemies. He loved her. That much was clear. And now Shizuka knew that their child would be loved despite it's hybrid blood. The only thing was once the yokai got word of it. Countless would try their hands of harming their child in hopes of gaining it's power. But who would have courage to try such a thing? Who?
