The Christmas break was over far too quick for Ellie's liking because before she knew it, she was dropped off at the King's Cross station in early January. Fortunately for her, Lucius wasn't able to drop Draco and her off, so it was just them and Narcissa. Ellie would be lying if she said that Lucius didn't creep her out, with his smirks and mysterious behaviour, but seeing that he was gracious enough to let her stay at his manor, she thought it'd be best to keep her thoughts to herself.

"Eleanor dear, don't be shy to write to me, alright? I'm glad you're having fun at the manor," Narcissa said just before Ellie was about to get on the train after Draco. Grinning ear to ear, she hugged the woman, "Thank you again for having me, Cissy. I promise I'll write to you."

Narcissa smiled and hugged her back. To her, Ellie was like a daughter she never had and it wasn't difficult to be fond of the bubbly, witty, and sassy eleven years old. "You do that, dear," she said as she pulled away from Ellie, "Do me a favour by keeping an eye on my son. Make sure he's out of trouble. You best get on now, before you miss the train."

With a last goodbye to Narcissa, Ellie get on the train and joined the compartment where four Slytherin boys were already sitting in, much to her surprise. She had expected to find Theo and Blaise joining Draco, but what surprised her was the presence of the fourth year in the compartment.

"Thank Salazar you're here, Ellie! I can't bear another minute with my cousin asking where you were!" exclaimed Theo as soon as she sat down. Ellie raised an eyebrow at him, causing the light brown haired boy to chuckle slightly.

"You never told her?" he asked the fourth year whom was sitting in front of him, "Ellie, Adrian here is my cousin, somewhat. I think his mother married my second cousin or something like that."

"Geez, Adrian, I never knew you're related to this knucklehead. I'm terribly sorry," Ellie said to the fourth year, making everyone save from Theo to laugh. Adrian then pulled her closer to his side and ruffled her hair, whilst keeping an arm around her shoulder, making Ellie blushed slightly. Annoyed that everyone was laughing at his expense, Theo grumbled under his breath, "Laugh at it, at least I'm not the one being lo-"

"How's the Malfoys, Ellie?" Adrian suddenly piped in, cutting Theo short whilst holding a hand over his mouth. The three boys sent Adrian a knowing look, a look that confused Ellie, but none of the boys seemed to be keen on explaining what was going on. "Umm, great. I'm going to the loo," she said hurriedly, needing a break from the boys. As she left the compartment, she swore she heard Adrian exclaimed something along the line of "she's just eleven!". As she walked down the corridor, she found a completely empty compartment and went in. She took the seat by the window and rest her head against it. She couldn't help but let her mind wander about her Christmas at the manor. It seemed peculiar to her how each of Draco's parents acted like the complete opposite of each other. Whilst Narcissa was showing somewhat motherly kindness towards her, Lucius was more cryptic. He was nice enough to her, but she couldn't help the creepy aura that seemed to radiate from him. Not to mention the way he talked to her, as if he was expecting something from her. She then wondered about Harry's Christmas at Hogwarts. This would be the second time Ellie didn't spend Christmas with Harry, and she felt somewhat guilty about it. She knew Harry would have a great time at Hogwarts with the Weasleys and Hermione, but she couldn't help but wonder whether or not he minded her absence.

Ellie shot up straight when she felt her body was being shaken. She didn't even realised that she had fallen asleep in the compartment, completely alone, or used to be, for her eyes landed on a pair of ocean blue ones which were filled with concern. "You alright, kiddo?"

Blinking rapidly, Ellie forced her mind to focus on the moment. She realised that the pair of ocean blue eyes belonged to none other than Adrian Pucey. "Yeah, just needed a break from the boys, I suppose."
