Although the Moon's Shadow was both luxurious and spacious, it was still a train. With everyone traveling in such close proximity to one another, secrets didn't stay secrets for long. Especially secrets involving spur-of-the-moment, late night Shokugeki's. News of Torrey and Soma's match spread like wildfire among the first-year students.

As these two promising young chef's strolled through the dining car, they were forced to part a large crowd of peers who were buzzing with excitement. Everyone was ecstatic over the opportunity to forget about their exams for the evening.

"This sure went to hell in a hand-basket," said Torrey.

"We can thank Takumi's shouting for that," reasoned Soma.

"Guess we have no choice but to put on a show."

"I wonder what the max capacity is in this dining car?"

            "We're for sure over-capacity."

"Not bad for a couple of transfer students, eh?" said Soma, with a signature Yukihira grin.

It took some pushing and shoving, and a few strategically placed elbows, but they finally arrived at the kitchen side of the car. Several large windows allowed curious passengers a chance to watch the staff at work, though it was by no means a proper viewing area for a Shokugeki.

"Hey...we should make this a legit Shokugeki," said Torrey, possibly influenced by the electrifying energy in the car.

"Oh-ho! We didn't even wager! And there's still the judges to consider...crap, we didn't really think this through," said Soma, striking a thinkers pose.

Somehow hearing this statement, the crowd suddenly grew quiet before roaring back to life, with everyone pleading for a spot at the judges table.

            "Me! Me!"

            "Over here! Pick me!"

"Torrey! Let me taste your love!"

Torrey cringed for a moment before regaining his composure.

"Whoa, easy! Back you animals, back!" he said, grabbing a chair from the closest table and brandishing it at the mass of students. It was a decent impression of a lion tamer, minus the whip.

"Hmm...this match is way too important to pick just anyone," said Soma. "We need someone with real experience. Should we ask Nakiri, after all?"

            "No way. She's too perfect."

            "..."

"Her palate, I mean. Her palate is perfect."

"Ah, right. For a second there, I thought..."

"He-hem. I could like, totally offer my expertise here," said Alice, appearing from the crowd with Ryo at her side. "For the right price."

"What? Thanks but no thanks. Maybe we SHOULD just pick some randos," decided Soma.

"Yeah, sorry Alice. We've got cheaper options available," said Torrey.

"Wait, I was just joking! I'll do it for free. I'm already super rich, obviously, so I don't REALLY need compensation," said Alice.
