As Xie Lian proceeded to walk towards the river side, it was all pitch black, not a single trace of  any moonlight . He couldn't help but think where his lover was. 

Before he could call out to his lover, someone covered his eyes gently. 

He knew it was his lover. 

"Crimson Rain Sought Flower , what are you planning?" 

"Your Majesty, since when were we on honorific basis? Was i not told about this?" 

Both the males couldn't help but let a soft giggle. 

"Okay San Lang , where are we going ?"

"Gege have some patience."

"Here on the count of three open your eyes." 

"one , two , three." 

Xie Lian opened his eyes to the most breathtaking sight one could ever witness, he could never ever get tired of this , there it was those 3000 lanterns rising ever so beautifully in the night sky. The red glow being reflected in the river. 

Just a moment ago , it was dark , it was pitch black but now it is as bright as the overbearing rays of the sun. 

"It's beautiful San Lang, it's always beautiful." Xie Lian couldn't help but sound overwhelmed by the beauty of this night sky. 

"Gege , this is not it , look at me."  

"Gege , i still vividly remember the time when i was a child , a child caught in a wicked pretense, bullied by everyone , shamed for my crimson eyes , shamed for being simply alive, i never found any meaning in life  because i had simply never lived and then one day i found you , i found the one meaning i've been so eagerly looking for. The day you caught me , was the day i caught love and love makes you want to breathe. Gege you might have been seventeen ,but you were the child of eternity. You gifted me eternity and that eternity is you. Seeing you, it was like seeing the moon for the first time, its curtained under the influence of the sun , you are compelled to be deceived by it's crescent dreams , a simple hypnotic potion yet if you spare a gaze , the moon blooms within it's own ashes, it yearns for love. You might be the Darling of the heavens , but for me you are not who you are because of your beauty but because of your scars and how you embrace those scars. Your eyes were always covered with a veil , your eyes yet to acquire reasons." 

Hua Cheng now stepped back , he now took out a heart stopping ruby ring , shone so bright like starlight in the night, he then sat down on one knee. 

 "Darling of the heavens , Crown Prince of Xianle , Your Highness , Heavenly Emperor , Xie Lian, would you allow me to become your reason ? Allow me to be your moon , one who would never disappear not even on the darkest of nights. Please marry me." 

Xie Lian stood speechless , he could never understand what he did to deserve Hua Cheng , he always felt he didn't love Hua Cheng enough , he always has done so much for him but he feels he has never ever done enough . This proposal was the most beautiful moment for Xie Lian in the entirety of his existence. Xie Lian couldn't help but let tears escape his eyes. 

"I will , i will marry you , Hua Cheng."

Hua Cheng couldn't have been happier from being a devotee to Xie Lian to now being his Husband , he couldn't comprehend reality. He now stood up and subtly held his lover's hand and allowed Xie Lian's finger to be embraced by the ruby ring. 

Both the males then embraced each other in a tight hug. Not one willing to let go but one had to. (foreshadow maybe ? or maybe not.) 

Xie Lian never let it slip through but he was also preparing to propose to Hua Cheng but of course his lover was quicker than him. But Xie Lian wouldn't waste this opportunity as he now stepped back and sat down on one knee and took out the beautiful silvery starlight ring. 

Hua Cheng couldn't comprehend this gesture , he was puzzled to say the least. He couldn't even imagine something like this. 

"Crimson Rain Sought Flower, Hua Cheng , Hong Hong Er , San Lang , my most devoted believer, all these centuries ,i was ignorant of the fact that i was never ever alone , that you were always with me , you were my moon. When everyone left , everyone who i had known since birth and the entire seventeen years of my existence , they all left so easily but how come you never did ? I still don't understand what have i done to deserve you , all of the pain and agony of those 800 years disappeared when i met you that night. And you are wrong about one thing i am not the child of eternity , i am someone who is a coward , i am someone who for 800 years was trapped in self hate , but after i met you how come i began to love myself ? I have always loved you too less but i promise i will make you the happiest . I just wish we could have met sooner. So Crimson Rain , marry me would you ? " Xie Lian said as his lips turned into a soft smile.

But Hua Cheng turned his face away from his lover , for he could not look at him when he was crying , he didn't want his lover to see him act weak.  

"San Lang , look at me please." 

As Hua Cheng faced his lover , tears escaping his eye.

"Of course i would marry you, now could you please stand , you might hurt your knee." 

"San Lang why ruin the moment ?" Xie Lian said as he stood up and embraced Hua Cheng's sculpted finger with the starlight ring. 

Hua Cheng was to say the least the happiest man in the world. He couldn't help but princess carry Xie Lian. 

"you are my eternity." 

Both the males lips embraced each other in a soft kiss.
