THE LAST POV

The sun rose over the sleepy town, casting a golden glow over the covered fields. The air was crisp and cold, and the only sound was the occasional cry of a crow. It was New Year's Eve in the province. The streets were filled with people, all eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new year. In the town square, a large stage had been set up for the festivities. There would be music, dancing, and fireworks, all to celebrate the coming of the new year.

I can't help but to smile.

I could feel their specific feelings toward a particular day which is very crucial for everyone. Their excitement for the possibilities that the future holds, their hopes that they can achieve their goals, their gratitude for the good things that have happened to them, their showing love with their loved ones, and peace— all of that is very genuine to feel.

In one corner of the square, a group of children were playing with firecrackers. They were laughing and having a great time, oblivious to the danger. Their parents watched them from a distance, smiling at their excitement. In another corner, a group of older people were gathered around. They were telling stories and singing songs, passing the time until the new year arrived. They were all looking forward to a fresh start, with new hopes and dreams for the future.

And yes, to clarify you around, it's already New Year's Day.

"Takbo!" Sigaw ni Ken at nagtago sa kubo. Because of that, tumakbo rin kami papalayo habang natatawa pa.

"Rica!" Suway ko habang tumatawa. "Takot na takot naman 'to! Ang layo na natin oh!" I've said.

The sky was a beautiful shade of blue, and the air was crisp and fresh. The firecrackers that we've playing sparkled in the sunlight, and the trees were covered with chirping birds. I know that it was going to be a good day, it was a beautiful day. So, my system filled the feeling of hopeful and optimistic.

"Roy, Ken! Hali nga muna kayo! May iuutos akong ibili!"

Parang may kakaiba e. I actually felt something off about her.
