59. Her...

Aadya's POV

I took the wrapper from chintu's hand and dropped it in the dustbin. His palms, cheeks and lips had chocolate stains.

"Chintu..go clean yourself" I said.

He jumped from the bed and ran out of the room showing me his tongue.

"Such a naughty kiddoe" I thought and stepped into the hall.

He switched on the TV and started laughing for shinchan's jokes.

"Chintu" I called him but he seemed to be involved in watching TV.

"Chintu" I called again only to receive no response.

I switched off the TV. He looked at me as if he gonna murder me for not allowing him to watch.

"Switch on the TV" he ordered.

"No. First go clean yourself" I said.

"No" he screamed.

"Fine then. I won't let you watch your shinchan" I said.

"You're a bad girl. A very bad girl" he screamed and stepped into the kitchen. I Chuckled.

I followed him. Amma looked at us and resumed cooking.

His hands couldn't reach the tap. He stood on his toes but in vain. I turned on the tap for him.

He put his hands under the water flow for a while and withdrawed his hands.

"Who will wash your face?" I questioned resting a hand on my waist.

He gave me a death stare and put his hands back under the water flow and rubbed his cheeks and lips with them. He repeated the process for a few times and the chocolate stains disappeared.

"Happy" he said with his baby voice and rushed into the hall. I smiled at his antics and followed him.

We were watching the cartoon when I heard the door bell ring. Definitely Kavitha akka.

I stepped to the main door and opened it.

"Come in akka" I said.

She looked into the hall and said "no no. I'm in a hurry. I just came here to take chintu"

I smiled and looked at chintu. He was engrossed watching the TV.

"Chintu..look who is here" I said with enthusiasm.

He looked at us and immediately looked back at the TV.

"Chintu come to Amma" said akka.

He shook his head saying "I need to watch shinchan"

"You can watch it at home too" akka said.

"No" he said still looking at the TV.

"Look at him Aadya. I don't know what to do with this idiot" akka said.

"It's ok akka. Let him be here. I will bring him home after he's done watching the TV" I said.

"But Aadya.. it's time for his dinner" she said.

"I will feed him" I said.

"Okay then" she said looking at him.

"Chintu..I am going" she said.

"Haa ta ta" he said waving his hand.

She gave him a death stare and left.

I fed him dinner. God!! He had it not before throwing his tantrums. Don't know how akka is managing to feed him everyday.

It was 9 pm. Akka came back to take him.
