Chase was somehow able to sleep outside, with the rain still dropping on top of him, but his body was still shivering from the coldness outside. But still, it wasn't enough to wake him up to hear the calls coming through his pup-tag.

The Lookout

Ryder sadly lowered his pup-pad, sadly staring at the blank screen in front of him, he looked outside of the windows at the top of the Lookout to see the drizzle of rain still pouring down. Katie suddenly arrived at the elevator, and quickly noticed the leader staring off to the windows.

"He still hasn't answered?" Katie asked and Ryder just sighed, nodding his head side to side.

"I hope he's somewhere safe. Do you think we should call up the pups and set up a search?" Ryder asked and Katie seemed surprised that the LEADER was asking her this kind of question. It seems like when it comes to his favorite pup, he seems to doubt himself. But from the looks of it, there seems to be a much deeper meaning.

"Ryder, I'm not the leader here. It's your call." Katie answered and Ryder looked back down at his pup-pad and sighed. I'll try a few more times. Ryder thought as he proceeded to call again.

A few rings were heard, but sadly, no answer which made Ryder and Katie sigh in defeat. Both of them looked at each other again, worries clearly expressed on their faces.

With Skye

Skye was laying on her bean bag while the others were playing around while Skye was left by herself. She glanced over at Tundra who faced the other direction, avoiding eye contact with the Cockapoo.

The pink pup sadly glanced at the Husky before she looked back down to her paws. D-Did I go too far? Skye asked herself as she began re-thinking about the words she said. But it's not like I was wrong. We did try and he just didn't...didn't...Skye sighed in her mind as she tried to justify to herself, but it seemed like it wasn't working.

She sighed as her mind was back into turmoil.

With Chase

"Well, how's my little bundle of joy?" She asked but the small Chase didn't respond, only stared at her with fear.

"Aw, don't worry. Today's punishment won't be hurtful...well, to me at least." She giggled as she picked up a surgical gag and seeing that tool in her hand, Chase quickly closed his mouth.

"Now then, don't be a big baby, open wide." She said in a creepy, motherly sweet tone. But the young pup wouldn't fall for at as he knew what torture was coming. Lady was getting more impatient as she growled.

"I said...OPEN WIDE!" She hollered as she contacted her hand across Chase's cheek, allowing a huge clap to echo the room. The slap caused Chase to open his mouth and Keres quickly reacted by forcefully and painfully placing the surgical gag in his mouth, keeping it wide open.

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't close his mouth.

"Just for that kind of action...I want payment." Lady Keres growled as she walked back up to the table and picked up large forceps. Chase watched in horror as he couldn't control the tears anymore. He tried to beg, but nothing came out.

"The teeth." She giggled as she menacingly and slowly walked towards the small puppy.

"GAH!" Chase yelped as he quickly sat up, breathing heavily. Sweat drenched upon his face as he felt a couple tears trickle down his face. He was so shocked by his dream, he didn't even notice his surroundings.

But when he did, he got confused.

W-Where am I? Chase thought as he looked down as he was laying on a bed with a blanket on top of him.

"Meow"

Chase heard the meow of a cat and looked to the side of the bed and was surprised to see the kittens from the catastrophe crew, all looking at him with concern. He was more confused about the fact that he didn't sneeze, but he then noticed the sock that was put on his nose when he woke up. He looked down at his paw and saw that it wasn't shaking.

It was warm.

The German Shepherd looked around to see that he was in a hallway with a bed at the end. The hallway wasn't long as he could see familiar Christmas decorations hung up in the main, large room. It didn't take long for him to figure out that he was inside Mayor Humdinger's place.

"Chase?"

The German Shepherd looked over to the side and saw Mayor Humdinger and Helga on the other side of the room. Arnold was sitting on a chair while Helga was standing up. Chase saw Mayor Humdinger's suit wet a little bit. It was clear that Humdinger was the one who found him sleeping outside and was the one who took him in.

But the most important thing was that both of them had looks of worry staring right at him. How was he supposed to explain this to them?

"H-Hey." Chase softly greeted and Arnold quickly got to questioning.

"What were you doing out there?" He asked with some anger but also with a concerned tone which made Chase wince a little bit which Humdinger quickly took notice of.

"Sorry, it's just. How come you were sleeping outside? Why didn't you come to us?" He then asked softly but Chase sat silent. He didn't know how to answer them. Of course, he didn't wanna say what actually happened.

"I...I just had to visit you and I...I...I don't know." The police pup sighed as he felt like he was about to break into tears.

"Well then, do you know how you can explain this to us?" Helga asked as Chase heard her pick some sort of fabric up and when the German Shepherd lifted his head, his eyes quickly widened. His mouth dropped. He was now wishing that this was a dream and his eyes were just lying to him.

Helga was holding the wet, black hoodie that Chase wore all the time.

Chase slowly looked down at his body as he wasn't wearing the hoodie. His face was horrified...

As his scars were revealed.
