     Night dropped on that same day, and Chase was in his room, laid on his bed and stared at the ceiling like he was drifting off into space. He wasn't sure how to feel right now. Learning that his actual parents were Kamato and Kallie. The fact that Humdinger was best friends and the owner of Chase's father. Or the fact that Chase wore his true fathers necklace this whole time.

But at the same time, his past didn't make sense then. Why was he with two random abusive parents rather than his real ones? Helga and Edan described that Kamato and Kallie and their son died in the warehouse. So what happened?

But there's no point in finding out now. Chase never even knew them so why bother? They're dead anyway. The German Shepherd thought with a blank emotion. How could he even miss them? He never knew them. But at the same time, he did admire Kamato and his strength and bravery.

Not just that, but he was also related to the legendary Balto and Togo. Real dog heroes. And he and Kamato were related to both of them. But it made sense due to the strength and speed that described the legendary Kamato.

It still mind-boggled him, but at the same time, he was too affected by it because again, he didn't know anything about the two of them. But one thing Chase has been thinking about, was how different would his life be if Kamato and Kallie were his real parents? Would they actually love him? Take care of him? Be angry with him for necessary reasons? Be good parents? Would he even join the Paw Patrol? Would he still go through that torture? Just how different would his life be if Kamato and Kallie were still around?

But still, even with all of those thoughts, he couldn't get emotional.

Just then, Chase heard a knock at his door and saw Lincoln walking in. Looking around the room and spotted the German Shepherd on the bed, he walked up and sat by him while holding a bowl of delicious food.

"I asked one of my chefs to prepare an extra special for you." He said as he placed the bowl next to him. It was filled with delicious grilled steak mixed with cooked rice and pasta smoking out of the bowl.

"Thanks."

"No problem. You might want to eat up, cause I've got another mission for you."

Chase gave Lincoln a look of confusion mixed in with a surprised expression, obviously not expecting that kind of sentence coming from his mouth.

"Huh? But a month hasn't even passed yet." Chase pointed out but Lincoln nodded, gesturing that he knew.

"Right, but there's something going on and I believe you're the one to handle it." Krull stated and Chase thought about it for a minute, but agreed.

"Okay, so what is it?"

"Tonight, at the Adventure Broadway Theater, some of my competition's workers are meeting up with one of the Adventure Cities science companies. Apparently, they paid for some sort of serum. You probably know, but me and her are in a huge conflict, basically like an undercover war. I need you to go there and retrieve that serum in any way you can." Lincoln explained and Chase took a couple seconds to process the information.

What could Lady Keres want with a serum? What was the serum? But in any case, all he had to do was steal the serum away from them at any costs which sounded fun for the young shepherd.

"Sure."

He agreed and Lincoln gave no reaction but gave an approving nod and looked over to Chase's bowl full of food.

"You might want to get some energy then, I'll leave you to it." And with that, Lincoln peacefully left the room, but before he closed the door, he held onto the handle and turned his head towards Chase once more.
