Chapter Fifty-Six (Wedding/Coronation Plans, Pt. One)

"O-P-U-L-E-N-C-E, Carson! Opulence!" Topaz said as he, Eurydice, Ciara, and her mother, the Albritton women, Colleen, Lailani, and the Napier mother-daughter duo came to my bedroom the next day after my mates left to handle some royal business with Iain and Archer. "And today, we're sitting down and reviewing what we all had talked and planned with each other."

"And good morning to you all," I yawned, stretching my arms and legs and feeling grateful that Francisco and Quentin made sure that I was dressed in my favorite Denver Nuggets sweatpants. "Now, what plans did you guys have in mind, I'd like to know?"

"It's for the epic royal wedding and coronation of the millennia, duh!" Lailani replied, blowing her bubble gum and popping it before swallowing it down. "And with everything that had happened so far- the kidnapping, the rescue, and the funerals of Abby Mae and the Stephenson twin sisters; all of us knew that you needed some downtime to recoup and recollect yourself."

Fianna nodded in agreement. "Even Alissa and her sister, the daughters of Cora Mae and Cathy Sue, had a hand in what we all have in mind- right down to the after-ceremony dinners," she replied, taking a seat next to me on the bed. "And I know that you and the guys want to have a simple ceremony and keep it low-key with your pregnancy and all that. But we can't let that happen, not with all eyes now on you since you're finally free from that doofus known as Ryan Zallenda."

"Don't say of his name or my late brother's," Ciara groaned. "It's bad enough that I had two dillweeds for brothers who didn't get a clue. But for Regan to reject him and for Ryan to be too lovelorn to see that Carson was special and deserved more, that's just wrong."

"You can say that again," Colleen piped up. "But anyway, you guys, this morning is all about Carson and we need to tell him what we talked about with the Alpha Females, the Lunas- male and female, and the matriarchs of the Hunter Dynasties."

To me, "Carson, Ferdinand, and Zechariah told us to not stress you out, but we just want to cover some of the bases with you. Don't worry about breakfast because Yesenia has a nice spread coming up in a few."

I nodded, though I had a feeling that this group of friends already had everything covered. "Let's go," I said.

Topaz pulled out his notebook that had a ton of ideas. "All righty, now. The theme is going to be 'Opulent Masquerade' for the wedding and a 'Regal Eleganza' for the coronation," he began. "Family, packs, and covens only for the coronation and the same for the wedding with celebrities who got a special invite- you're welcome, by the way. The coronation will be held here with the wedding at St. Marian Cathedral before that. The reception will be outside with a forest masquerade theme with a mix of fine cuisine and casual dining- again, you are welcome. Gardeners contacted, but there will be no living animals for the Alphas to want to hunt, no matter how much Gavin and Ferdinand will grovel."

"I have a cousin who specializes in various desserts for all people with different tastes and food sensitivities," Lailani said. "And the main wedding cake is a raspberry-infused lemon sponge with buttercream frosting and topped with fresh berries and edible flowers- edible gold is unequivocally tacky, by the way. And there will be food trucks for the people who will be celebrating at home and in the streets- Gio's Seafood Palace, Jamaican Bliss Caribbean Creations, Marco's Mexican Bar- the works."

"We took your measurements every time you visited the doctor and yours will be adapted to your current state of pregnancy," Ciara commented. "And since she's the top seamstress for all of Denver, she already knows that you come first in making sure that you look your best. Same for the jeweler who's making the rings, necklaces, and crown. I have this vision of you wearing midnight velvet that's slightly adorned with Swarovski crystals and-"
