I was surprised to find myself wake up on the couch later on that day, not the ground.

I had a blanket thrown over me and a cushion under my head.

Damon must have moved me, I realised.

"Ah, sleeping beauty awakes," a voice said.

Damon was sitting in an armchair reading a book.

I yawned.

"What time is it?" I groaned.

"My guess is around ten thirty," he replied.

Ugh, I should not be awake.

I sat up and stretched.

I dragged myself into the kitchen and opened the fridge, looking for something to soothe my growling stomach.

When the fridge failed to make something appetising to eat, I tried the cupboard.

I had no luck there either.

"Damon!" I called. "There's no food!"

"Go hunt some bunnies in the woods!" he called back.

I growled and walked back out to the living room.

"Seriously," I said. "I'm hungry and there's no food in the house."

"Well go buy some," Damon said.

"Well, you have a car, and all the money so..." I trailed off.

"Fine," he sighed, snapping his book shut. "I'll come food shopping with you."

Going grocery shopping with Damon was one of the rarest things that happened through out my life. It had happened once before, but that didn't count, because we both were craving chips and gravy, along with cookies and cream ice cream. I usually just picked up a few things now and then, considering I had to survive.

"So," Damon said as I pushed the shopping trolley around the store. "Anything in particular you wanted?"

"Edible food," I said.

"Fair enough," he muttered.

The first isle we hit had all the junk food, like chocolate, soda, lollies, potato chips.

I grabbed a whole lot of chocolate and put it in the trolley.

Damon raised his eyebrow at me.

"What?" I asked innocently. "Sometimes I get the munchies."

Damon grabbed a few bottles of Coke and put them in.

I grabbed like, ten packets of noodles. I would've grabbed more if Damon didn't stop me.

I kept my eye out, making sure Stefan or Lexi weren't filming this.

Me and Damon grocery shopping? Not something we like to admit out loud.

That got me thinking.

I pulled my phone out, (which was an iPhone 4 by the way, super cool!)

"Hold on," I said.

"What are you doing?" Damon asked.

"Taking a picture," I said.

"Uh, why?" he asked.

"Because this is a once in a life time moment, and I intend to remember it," I said. "Now come closer so I can get you in the shot."

He sighed and slung his arm over my shoulder.
