I stood there, frozen in shock.

Tyler pulled back, noticing my lack of response.

"I'm sorry," he said.

"No, it's fine," I said, in a slight daze.

"I was just caught up in the moment," he said

 "I understand," I said.

"I should uh, probably go," he said awkwardly.

I nodded, not really paying attention.

"Sorry," he apolagized again.

I nodded and he left, closing the front door.

I stood there for about five minutes, not moving.

"UGH!" I groaned loudly. "Stupid, stupid, stupid!"

I had been single for two days, two days! And I was already going around kissing boys.

Actually, he kissed you, you just stood there looking like an idiot, a voice inside my head said.

That doesn't really change anything! I argued back.

Don't feel guilty about it, it wasn't your fault, the voice said.

"Shut up!" I growled out loud.

"Whoa, someones not very happy," a voice from behind me said.

"GAH!"

I spun around, my heart almost stopping.

I relaxed when I saw it was Natalie.

"The voices inside my head won't shut up," I said.

She glanced warily at me.

"You know... when people start to hear voices in their head... they usually take that as a sign," she said.

"Oh don't worry," I sighed. "I already know I'm insane."

"Oh," she said.

"So what's up?" I asked. "I assuming you didn't come here to just tell me I'm crazy."

"No, I didn't," she laughed. "I just came to see what was happening."

"Well, no one's died yet so..." I said.

Natalie didn't stay long. We chatted a bit, but she sensed that I was a little emotionally unstable.

After she left, I layed on my stomach, my face being smothered by the floor.

I just wanted to lay here and disappear forever.

Maybe I should run away and join the circus. Nah, maybe some other time.

I heard footsteps and didn't bother to look up and see who it was.

"Uh, Marni, why are you lying on the floor?" Stefan's voice asked.

"Because I'm a horrible person, and it's comfy," I said, my voice slightly muffled by the carpet underneath me.

"Why are you a horrible person?" he asked.

I lifted my head from the ground and looked at him.

"It's been two days, since Jeremy and I broke up, and I've already kissed another guy," I said. "Who does that?"

"Who did you kiss?" he asked, frowning.

"Tyler Lockwood," I said, putting my face back on the floor.

"Why did you kiss Tyler Lockwood?"

"Well, he kissed me, but still! I shouldn't have let it happen," I said.
