"Luke, can I just lay here for a bit?" I ask.
"Of course." He says.
"Thanks." I say holding onto him. I breathe in the scent I missed when I was around Janet.
"No problem." He says. He kisses my forehead and holds onto me.
We eventually fall asleep together and I wake up seeing Liz reading a magazine.
"Hi." I say quietly waking up.
"Hi."
"Hi baby." Luke says in his husky morning voice to me kissing my head.
"Hi." I say.
"Hi mom." He says smiling at her.
"How was y'all's sleep?"
"Perfect." We both say.
"Good." Liz says smiling at us.
"Yeah." I say.
"Are you feeling a lot better Luke?" Liz asks
"Yes, I want to attempt to walk." He says.
"Okay, I'll ask the doctors." She says getting up and walking out of the room.
"Hi." I say looking up at him smiling.
"Hi baby." He says. I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss his lips.
"I like this." I say into the kiss.
"So do I."
"Hey, a nurse will be here soon." Liz says looking at Luke.
"Great." He says.
Ten minutes past and when Liz left the room to go get something to eat the nurse came in.
"Hi, so you want to walk?" A girl asks him.
We both look up and see Janet standing there.
"Your a nurse here?" I ask her.
"Yep."
