Dutch sighed to himself as he watched you leave the camp. This certainly wasn't the first time that you had left the camp during the night, when you knew that nobody was around to catch you. He had to admit that you did it well, you obviously knew what you were doing because he had only noticed recently but he was sure you had been doing it for longer than that. He just didn't know where you were going or why.

This time Dutch let you go but knew that he would have to find out where you were going soon. He would do something about it tomorrow, figure out what was going on. Ever since you had joined the camp as a young child, Dutch had taken you under his wing, thought of you as his own daughter. It was only natural for him to worry. Tonight, he would just wait for you to come home, just to make sure you were safe.

You walked out of the camp and started walking down the nearby road, glancing over your shoulder just to make sure you were alone. You knew it wasn't smart to go out alone of a night but you also knew that you wouldn't be alone for long so you didn't worry too much.

A smile instantly broke out over your face when you saw the familiar figure standing beside a horse. You ran up to him and threw your arms around his neck, him instantly catching you in a loving embrace.

"Hey" you grinned, pulling away from him to look up at his face.

"Hey" B/n smiled back down at you. "Did you get away alright?" he asked.

"I don't think anyone saw me. What about you?" you asked, knowing that sneaking around was more dangerous for him than for you.

"Nobody saw, don't worry" he assured you, making you relax. You smiled up at him again before quickly kissing his cheek. "Come on" he took your hand and walked you over to his horse.

You had been sneaking out of the camp at night for a while now, always to meet up with B/n, the boy you had run into in town on day. The two of you had fallen hard, young love and all that, but knew that it wouldn't be so simple to be together. You could never tell anyone back at the camp about your relationship, they would never allow it and you would never be able to see him again.

The problem was that B/n was running with the O'Driscoll gang. Of course, as soon as he told you this you had been put off. You knew about the O'Driscoll boys, even met a few of them, and you knew that they were far from good people. So you didn't want anything to do with him. But he had begged you to hear him out and explained that he didn't even want to be running with them, that his father had joined them so he didn't really get a choice. You were hesitant but understood.

The more time you spent with him, the more you realised that he was nothing like the other O'Driscolls. He was always kind and sweet to you, bringing you gifts, and being an all around great boyfriend. He was a good guy, you truly believed that.

It was only the following night that you decided to sneak out of the camp again but this time Dutch had decided to follow you. He figured that you couldn't be going far if you were going by foot, you didn't take one of the horses, so he just followed on foot as well.

"Y/n" Dutch called your name to get your attention, not liking that you were walking around in the dark on your own and he didn't really want to be following you much further.
