👼 MY ANGEL 👼

Elsa hadn't taken anything for breakfast, so she decided to go to a cafe nearby and get something to eat.

She was pregnant, she shouldn't be skipping meals.

But the moment she walked into the doors of the care, she spotted Victoria seated in a corner.

But she wasn't alone, she was with Amanda. Who was seated with Yuliana.

Elsa couldn't hear what they were saying but she saw Victoria sliding a fat envelope to Victoria.

Elsa sat opposite of them as she observed them quietly. She couldn't sit next to them because they would have spotted her.

She got some tea for herself and sipped it while looking at their body language and facial expressions.

Lui had mentioned Victoria being behind the 'kidnapping' of Yuliana, but Elsa didn't understand Victoria's connection to Amanda and Yuliana.

Her eyes went away from them to her phone when someone was calling her.

It was Rosanna.

She felt her body tense up but she answered it regardless.

It was a brief call, of Rosanna telling her the check has been sent. And reminding her to get it done before her daughter's birthday.

When the call was done, Elsa looked back at the table only to find it empty.

All of them had left.

She put a couple of notes on the table to pay for her tea and then went outside to try to find either of them.

She looked around and she couldn't spot Amanda, or Victoria.

They were both long gone.

Her phone rang again while she was still looking around. She looked at who was calling and rolled her eyes.

She wanted to hang up, but thought of something...

If this Victoria, she could use this to expose her for the scheming woman she is.

So, she picked up the phone.

"Hello."

"Hello Mrs Callahan." The man's voice said. The same one from before.

"What do you want now, stranger?"

"I'm just innocently calling you to check if you have changed your mind."

Elsa smirked. "It depends."

"On what?"

"How much money I will make from this?"

A smile formed on the lips of the caller. He knew he could get Elsa, and he knew how. "Haha, my dear... I can promise you at least 20 million from this."

Elsa raised her right eyebrow. "That is the least amount?"

"Yes. That means it could be higher. It could once the project is put out and is successful."

Elsa was amused. It can't be that easy to make that amount of money. "So we are like partners, partners in crime?"

A deep chuckle was heard from the other side of the line. "Yeah. A crime that would be worth your while."

"And what do you want me to do? How exactly do you want me to help?"

Now the caller believed Elsa was falling for his words and ready to help him.

"We have gotten inside information that important documents are being taken to the Jeremy's mansion today by a worker from the Callahan Co-operation. Get us the document."

"Why didn't the person who gave you such infromation help you get it?"

"That would have been too risky. He would have gotten caught quickly. But you, who would suspect you? What would you have even done with such documents to take them? That is why you are perfect for this job."

"What time will be delivered?"

"Around noon."

"And I just take it and bring it over to you?"

"Yes. I will text you an address where we will meet. You bring me those documents, and I will make you a millionaire." He declared.

"And why should I trust you? How do I know you won't stab me in the back?"

"I don't have a good reason to tell you to make you believe me. But so as to build the faith, I will have a bag of two million with me at the location as a down payment for the rest that you will get."

Of course, Elsa wasn't convinced. But she wasn't going to say anything about it because she wanted to meet up with this guy and find out his identity. She felt he was working with Victoria and wanted to expose them.

She agreed to get the documents for him.

Elsa first went to her apartment and picked up the check. Then she went to buy some new material for the lion cubs painting, including a canvas.

After she had everything she needed, she went back to the Villa.

She was glad not to find Jeremy still in her room. But with his car still outside, she knew he hadn't left home yet.

Just as she was told, the papers were delivered at noon by a man dressed in a suit. He gave the papers in a case to Elsa, to give it to Jeremy.

Elsa held the documents in her hand and thought of what to do next.
