👼 MY ANGEL 👼

Mrs Jacobs was helped by the gate man to put Elsa in a taxi. She drove her to the hospital where she didn't wake up all night.

When the doctor was examining her, he found out about her brain tumor and told Mrs Jacobs assuming she was Elsa's mother.

Mrs Jacobs couldn't help but feel sorry for this poor soul. And the fact that she said not to call her husband saying he wouldn't help her even seeing her in that state of losing their baby, just broke her heart.

Jeremy was the Young Master, which makes Elsa the Mistress of his empire. Why wasn't she treated like that? Why wasn't she given any advantages of being Jeremy's wife?

Even she, just a worker, had seen that with her own eyes. Jeremy favored his other woman more than his own wife.

Elsa's phone kept ringing in her slingbag, but she knew she didn't have a right to go through her bag, even if her phone was ringing, so she didn't even check who was calling Elsa.

She just stayed in Elsa's room waiting for her to wake up.

Mrs Jacobs only left Elsa's side to return to the Villa and get clean clothes for Elsa to wear when she woke up. Because her old clothes she came with were covered with blood. And she also cleaned the trail on floor that Elsa bled.

It wasn't a pleasant sight to see, so she made sure to clean every drop of blood before Young Master Jeremy woke up.

When she came back at 6 in the morning, Elsa was still asleep.

But she only slept for 10 more minutes before slowly opening her eyes.

She looked around the room confused with her unfamiliar surroundings.

"Careful, madam." Mrs Jacobs rushed to her side to help Elsa up.

She then took a pillow and put it on the headboard to make her more comfortable when sitting.

"Mrs Jacobs...." Elsa called out weakly. She touched her temples feeling so dizzy.

"Yes, Madam."

"How is my baby?" She asked with fear as she looked into Mrs Jacobs eyes.

She was afraid of her answer. Especially when she remembered perfectly well how much she bleed the previous night.

Mrs Jacobs' eyes dropped. She then said regretfully. "I'm so sorry Madam, we didn't get here in time, the baby couldn't be saved. By the time we got here, you had already lost the child."

Elsa just looked at her. She had turned as still as a statue. Not moving, not breathing.

She just looked into Mrs Jacobs' eyes as a very painful tear fell down her left cheek.

But other than that, she didn't do anything, or say anything.

No one knew what she was thinking, or what her reaction would be after that.

"Madam, I'm so sorry." Mrs Jacobs didn't know what to say other than that.

Nothing she could say would make it better. Nothing she could say would make this pain better.

Elsa was still staring at the her blankly. No emotions was were showing in her face. And that made Mrs Jacobs very worried.

After so long, Elsa looked away and then said quietly, "I can't even grieve right now, my grandma needs me."

Mrs Jacobs looked at her confused.

"Your grandmother needs you?"

"Yeah.... Umm!... She needs to undergo heart transplant soon, so needs me to get the money for it ready."

"I'm so sorry to hear that, madam."

"It's okay Mrs Jacobs. (Sighs) You can feel bad for me later. Right now, I have to find a way to pay for it."

She stared into her wall as she tried to figure out what to do now.

"Lui!" She suddenly exclaimed. "Maybe he could help! Maybe he could loan me the money!"

She didn't want to ask people for money, let alone Lui. But what other option does she have now? She can only ask for a loan from him that she would work hard to pay back.

She turned to Mrs Jacobs who was just looking at her with teary eyes.

"Do you have my phone?" Elsa asked.

"Sure madam, it's still in your slingbag."

"Could you please take it out and help me dial a number?"

Mrs Jacobs nodded and started opening Elsa's bag to find it.

"Madam, I have to tell you that I did hear your phone ringing twice last night. But I didn't check or answer."

Someone called her twice? Who could it be? She hoped it wasn't that man who just murdered their own flesh and blood.

"You can check now and tell me who was calling?"

Mrs Jacobs looked at the missed call and read the name. "It says Doctor Osborne."

"That is my grandma's doctor!"

Elsa tried to sit up straight in the bed and not lean on the headboard. "Call her back for me."

"Okay, madam."

The phone rang only twice before it was answered.

Elsa took it and put on speaker then placed it on her lap. She didn't have the energy to hold it on her ear throughout the call.

"Hello, Miss Halverson." Doctor Osborne's voice was heard.

"Doctor Osborne, I'm so sorry I missed you call last night. It wasn't intentional. That is why I called you back right after I found your missed calls."

"It's no worries, Miss Halverson."

"Is there a problem that made you call me so late?"

"Well, I was calling to inform you to come to the hospital quickly."

"Why? Is something wrong?"

There was a suspenseful silence on her end that was pure torture for Elsa.

And then, she finally spoke, "Your grandmother Amelia, is dead.... I'm so sorry... She passed away last night... Her heart gave up completely and we couldn't save her..."

Elsa went mute the moment those words went into her ear. Mrs Jacobs covered her mouth in shock.

"Miss Halverson?... Miss Halverson?..."

"......"

"Miss Halverson, can you hear me?"

"......"

Mrs Jacobs had to take the phone and tell the doctor she would call her back later and hanged up.

Elsa just remained mute. Elsa remained motionless. Elsa remained tearless.

Elsa couldn't believe it. She lost her child and her grandma both on the same night.

Her first child had turned into blood.

Her grandma had died from heart failure.

You know what they said, it never rains but it pours.
