👼 MY ANGEL 👼

Elsa woke up to the beaming sun heating her face.

"Wake up, sleepyhead," Victoria said, towering over Elsa.

Elsa blinked repeatedly as she flinched from the sun.

She slowly sat up, feeling her head. She realized she was outside, lying on the ground covered with ice and grass.

Elsa got up on her feet and looked around. She was on top of a cliff, dangerously close to the edge.

Victoria, along with the two men she came with from her apartment, stood nearby.

"Why did you bring me here?" Elsa asked.

They were on top of a cliff overlooking the April Sea waters below.

"To tell you the truth about something I know you've been dying to know," Victoria said with a smile. "I know you're curious about the lion cub title."

Victoria knew she got Elsa's attention when she said that because she looked at her with her eyebrows furrowed like she was both surprised and confused at the same time.

Elsa wondered how Victoria knew about that, and Victoria answered her question. "I overheard you asking Lui at the gallery if he knew what it was after you heard Rosanna call me that."

"Speaking of him," Victoria continued. "What did you give Lui to make him defend you with such passion? What did you do for Lui to love you so much, Elsa?"

Victoria then whispered in an alluring voice. "What's your secret, angel?"

Elsa was surprised at Victoria saying Lui was in love with her. As far as she knew, Lui had a thing for Gwen. It wouldn't make any sense if he loved Elsa.

Despite her curiousity about everything Victoria said, she did not want to stick around to hear her out. Her bringing her at this cliff, a place that was only them and no one else in sight, Elsa knew something bad was coming her way.

She still felt dizzy because of what they used to knock her out. So her fighting Victoria at that moment, would be an easy win for Victoria.

"Victoria, I'm not interested in whatever game you want to play, nor do I have any curiosity about why you brought me here. Stay away from me," Elsa said, about to leave.

However, the bodyguards stood in front of her, blocking her path.

"Let me pass!" she demanded, but the bodyguards didn't budge.

Victoria chuckled, then said, "Not so fast, angel... Don't you want to know what the lion cub is?"

Why did she keep calling her angel, in a mocking way?

Elsa turned to look at Victoria. "Even if I do, would you tell me the truth?"

Victoria held her chest as if hurt that Elsa implied she would lie to her.

"Of course I will Elsa, come on... And do you want to why I'd tell?

"Because then, I will have a reason to kill you," Victoria said with a wicked grin.

Not waiting for Elsa's reaction, she continued. "You are related to the McConnells. In fact, you have a close relation with them."

Elsa was calculating on leaving only to freeze when she heard those words from Victoria.

She looked at her with her eyes narrowed. "How?" Elsa asked.

Victoria chuckled. She finally got Elsa's full attention. "Remember that photo of Carter? Didn't his face look familiar? Haven't you seen that face before?"

Elsa was confused. Seen that face before? How? Where? When? Her mother never even mentioned Carter at all.

Victoria continued. "Come on, Elsa, add two centuries to his face, and you'll be able to tell who he looks like."

Elsa looked into space for a moment as she tried to remember the image in that photo. She then imagined it a little alot than that, then alot older.

Her eyes went wide as she turned to Victoria. "James McConnell?" Elsa guessed.

Victoria giggled. "That's right. His name was Carter McConnell. And Carter McConnell was James' twin brother, your biological father. So you saw that face with James," Victoria revealed.

She then walked closer to Elsa as she continued. "The firstborns of the McConnells are considered lion cubs, and both James and Carter were the firstborns, so they got the lion cub title. And their firstborns, too, were supposed to get that title. You and Gwen. And me too."

"And where is Carter?" Elsa asked. She still remembered Victoria and Esther saying he was murdered. She wanted to know if Victoria will keep up with that story so that Elsa would know if they lied the first time.

"Ah, that is the secret that got Gwen killed. If I tell you, I'll have to kill you too," Victoria threatened.

Elsa smiled at her. "Then the more reason to tell me."

Seeing her unaffected still, Victoria got annoyed. "Okay, Elsa Halverson. I will tell you...

"James McConnell and Carter McConnell both ran Simba
Corporation. But there can never be two rulers, and have both them shine and rule together, in harmony. One would always be more respected than the other, one would always be the better. And that's what happened to the twins.

"Carter became the better one and got all the praise and glory. Your mother was engaged to him at that time, carrying his twin daughters. And just six months into her pregnancy, James killed your father so he could be the one lion cub."

Elsa froze. What that can't be real! That can't be!

"What?" Elsa exclaimed as her eyes went wide.

Victoria shrugged casually. "Yeah. He murdered his brother. He murdered your father.

"And when Jenna found out, and was also informed that James wanted her pregnancy with Carter's children aborted, she ran away. She ran to another country.

"I'm sure you remember spending your first five years in a different country, right?" Victoria said.

That was true. They only moved to Serpens when Gwen and Elsa were almost five years old.

"Gwen found out about this secret and tried to expose James McConnell, so he sent my adoptive father to silence her,"

All this information, all at once, was too much for Elsa to handle.

She had a shocked expression the entire time as she tried to process what Victoria had just told her. Her brain tumor started hurting at that point and Elsa held her head in pain

And Victoria saw this as her chance.

"Now that you know the family secret, I have to kill you. Just like how Gwen had to die."

Elsa's guard had dropped because of the pain in her tumor, and the information she was trying understand.

So Victoria used all her force to push Elsa down the cliff and watched as she fell into the cold waters of the April Sea, some parts of which had turned to ice due to the winter.

She was sure Elsa wouldn't be able to swim her way out of that water.

The shores were too far, and before she could reach them, the freezing water would cramp her legs, making her sink.

This satisfied Victoria. She had finally gotten rid of both of the Halverson twins

She took at the edge and smirked.
