👼 MY ANGEL 👼

Jeremy looked angry. His face was red, veins were popping on his temples.

He looked at the woman who was driven the other half of the knife into his chest and clenched his jaw.

His anger told him what to do and he was about to follow through.

He was wearing a coat, so Elsa couldn't see his chest, but she knew for a fact that he had a fresh wound there.

Elsa sat down opposite him and gave him a bored expression. "I should have stabbed you enough to put you in the hospital so I wouldn't see you for a while... Argh! Why are you here?"

Jeremy smirked. "Oh please, Elsa. After I put the knife into my chest, you hesitated. You were never going to kill me.

"You would never kill the father of your children, living or dead."

When Elsa heard that, her face visibly turned dark. She looked around the visiting room and saw police officers and other detainees at other tables talking to their visitors. Elsa couldn't do much here. She couldn't even attack him; they might punish her by not allowing her any visitors or by locking her in her cell.

That's one thing Dark Elsa could learn from Elsa, staying calm even when you want to scratch someone's eyes out.

Elsa decided to burst his bubble. "Have you forgotten that you called my first child a bastard? You accused me of sleeping around and getting pregnant. How do you know this one isn't yours either?... Why would I give my child a cruel father like you?"

Jeremy's smirk dropped. He tried his best to act unbothered, but that comment made him feel strange.

He leaned into the table and said quietly, "You know that I have the power to stop this. I can make it all disappear with just one phone call... You would be out of here and the fraud charges would be dropped."

He then smirked before saying, "All you have to do is apologize for trying to kill me and ask for forgiveness for attacking me, twice over."

He wanted to punish Elsa, but he wanted her to grovel at his feet and beg him to forgive her.

He could get her out for this mess, he was a Callahan after all. But he wasn't going to help her not until she asked for forgiveness.

One would wonder how he hadn't learnt after the snow incident.

Elsa looked at the man and decided to laugh. Because if she didn't, she might end up doing something stupid.

He wanted her to beg him? He wanted her to grovel to him so he could make phone calls to get her out of jail?

Elsa scoffed. "Oh really? Are you going to apologize for sending that detainee to kill me last night?... Will I get an apology for that?"

Jeremy was surprised. "I didn't send anyone to kill you. Now you're just making stuff up, like you always have, Gwen."

Elsa leaned into the table as well before saying, "You told me that if I married you, you wouldn't press charges against me."

"But then you asked for a divorce," Jeremy said casually.

"So it had conditions? That I can't divorce you?"

Jeremy shrugged.

Elsa shook her head in a tired manner. "Your arrogance never ceases to amaze me, Jeremy."

He then scratched his sideburns before saying, "You will stay in here and get put in prison for fraud. I can make sure of that. But you can stop me. Perhaps if you admit to me that you are Gwen and have been faking it all along, I can help you. Perhaps if you admit that you were a victim of your own idiocy, and that was why you thought you could stab me and get away with it, I would not seek revenge against you by making sure you never leave a jail cell."
