chapter 14

Chavi looked at Anirudh impatiently who sat in front of her sipping his coffee.
Tomorrow is Sunday and he had called her to meet in a coffee shop near his office.
Chavi heart hammered in her chest thinking about his decision.
He finally finished his coffee and looked at her who was fidgeting with her Dupatta nervously.
Have you Decided??? She asked in a low voice and he shaked his head in a No.
Actually I have called you for that reason only . I am not able to decided what should I do. Parul is a nice girl and belongs to a nice family . Also my mother has already approved her and she is Rashmi's cousin too . I don't find a reason to say No to her ....he said making her look at him dumbfound.
What you mean by you don't have a reason. You have me. Am I not a nice girl .
I am also somewhere a relative to you .
And Aunty likes me too infact she loves me .....she said in a one go and he tried hard to suppress his smile .
But Chavi , marriage is a big thing . It comes with responsibilities and you are not related to just a person but to a whole family , have to adjust yourself accordingly and compromise over things too..he said in a serious tone .
I am ready for everything ....she replied within a blink surprised him .
I know I lack most of the things but I will improve with time . I will learn things gradually and will co-operate she added further amusing him .
Actually Anirudh had already told his decision to his mother today morning before coming to office and by the time she will go back she will know it too.
He had declined the proposal politely stating that his vibes didn't match with Parul as he met her on Friday.
Their ambitions are diffrent and they can't be together.
Actually he got the hint from Parul's talk that she would like to stay seperately from his family after marriage as she thinks they won't get any privacy.
Also he found her quite self centred and knew she won't be able to mingle with his siblings. And when Arushi and Aniket came to know about Parul's proposal both denied straight away as they have seen Parul during Rashmi's wedding ,infact Aniket hinted towards Chavi indirectly.
When he met Parul he couldn't help but compare her to Chavi in every aspect .
Chavi is immature but she loves being surrounded with people and easily gel up with everyone.
Aslo he has seen her bond with his mother and his siblings. How she would protect Aniket when Anirudh scold him or how she shares her things with Arushi and how she roams behind his mother to teach her some cooking.
She is different and he adores her innocent and pure heart .
Chavi looked at him expectantly and tapped on his hand when he didn't replied anything.
Anirudh came back to the present and sighed straightening himself.
It's getting late and there will be so much traffic on the way . I should leave now and you also go home ....he said getting up making her gasp at him .
Here she was waiting for his decision he just dismissed everything just like that .
She wanted to smack his head but then shrugged her stupid thoughts.
She hurridly followed him to the parking lot and held his hand halting him in his steps.
He turned to her and raised his eyebrows asking her to speak .
You didn't said anything about your decision....she asked looking at him in anticipation ,as her hold tightened on his wrist and Anirudh just wanted to pinch her fluffy cheeks as she looked absolutely cute with those big doe eyes and pouty lips .
You will know that by tonight....he simply said making her node unsurly at him and both went away to their respective destination.

Chavi returned home only to find her Bhabi's sad face while her brother was no where in the sight.
Bhabhi what happened.....she asked with a frown seeing her dull face.
Actually Rekha Aunty called in the evening and declined the proposal saying Anirudh and Parul are not compatible and Apologized too for keep us waiting Prerna informed sadly but Chavi's happiness knew no bound . She wanted to jump in happiness but then thought otherwise.
She felt bad seeing her Bhabi sad but Parul was not meant for her Anirudh.
It's ok Bhabi . Everything happens for a reason and I am sure Parul will get her right partner very soon ....she said making Prerna smile at her .

Chavi excused herself and ran to her room upstairs.
She closed the door behind her and squealed happily.
She jumped on her bed and hugged her pillow tightly. Smile was not leaving her face .
So Mr. Akdu (strict) has already  informed his mother before meeting me and how he was pretending in front of me that how he is in great confusion.
He purposely did that to tease me ....she thought puffing her face but then smiled hiding her face in the pillow.

She took out her phone from her clutch and dialled him .
Here Anirudh was stuck in the traffic from last 40 minutes and he knew it would take him another hour to reach home .
He couldn't help but feel frustrated listening to the honks of the vehicle and cursed the poor management.
His phone ringed displaying Chavi's number and a knowing smile stretched on his lips and he answered the call.

I am soooooo happy. Why didn't you already told me about it . You know when I came back Bhabi looked very upset and then I get to know about your decision.
I am feeling guilty for celebrating when my family is sad but you know everything happens for good . And Parul and you were not meant for each other .
Offcourse she is a nice girl but that doesn't mean you should marry her .
I can't even express how happy I am but I can't even express it to anyone else but you ..... ...she talked non step without letting him speak anything . Are you even listening to me ......she asked when she got no response from other end and looked at her phone but the call was on.
On the other hand Anirudh smiled listening to her rent. He wondered how can she speak too much and that too all the time .
Does her face muscles not ache due to blabbering all the time ?? He thought .
Hmmmm...I am listening and I will speak only if you give me a chance to say something he spoke making her slap her forehead at her foolishness.
I am sorry. I couldn't control you know. She said making him humm.
So does that mean you also like me Haan....she asked cheekily rendering him speechless.
I never said that ....he said still not accepting the truth.
Ohhh please....don't need to pretend now. I know you like me so better just accept it ....she said making him chuckle.
Well leave that I know you won't  say it and I am ok with that . Now tell me Did you tell Aunty that you want to marry me ...she asked .
Nope and why would I say that ....it's you who want to marry me . So you should tell  it to your family first you know ....he said making her groan .
Ahhhh ...please don't tease me . I will talk to Bhai about it soon . Now they are sad for Parul and it won't look good ...she said making him smile at her thoughtfulness.
She continued blabbering something or other thing and he didn't realise when he reached home listening to her .
Indeed she was something else only .
