Mornings

AUTHOR's POV

It was 5:30 in the morning and the sun is slowly peeking through the clouds. Rj had Maine's head on his lap throughout the night and they were at the balcony. She got home around 3 am, tired, dazed and weary. Work was really taking it's toll on her. It's been like that for 5 months now and Rj is worried about his wife's condition.

The next week, Rj will be leaving for the States to visit family, while Maine will be left behind to finish the remaining taping days of her new Teleserye.

As the sun came up, and the light hit their faces, he couldn't help but stare at her face. She still had remaining traces of make up on, and her hair was a bit stiff because of all the product they used on her but he didn't mind. For him, his wife is the most beautiful creature that ever grazed earth, no matter what state she's in.

He caressed her face, tracing every part with his fingers while his other hand was stroking her hair. He tried his best to admire her without waking her up because he knows, he knows she needed this.

This was one of those mornings where memories of their life together come flashing back to his mind. Everything was vivid and color. Whilst reminiscing, he couldn't help but smile, because everything he had hoped for in his life and every event in it had fallen into the right place.

"Good morning, Rj."

She said, rubbing her eyes, yawning.

"Good morning, love."

He said, reaching down to kiss her.

It was quite a cold morning, and she shivered as the breeze hit them.

"Maine, ang lamig dito, nanginginig ka. You want me to carry you inside?"

"Yes, please."

He gently took her in his arms and carried her. He then set her down on the bed, put a blanket over her and made her comfortable.

"Comfy?"

"Yes, Rj. Thank you."

With that, he started to go out of the room.

"Rj, san ka pupunta?"

"Downstairs, to prepare breakfast for us."

"No, wag muna. Please stay here."

"Sure? Baka gutom ka na."

"No, babe. Just stay here with me. Hold me, cuddle with me, I've missed you."

"Sige na nga. Di ko naman matitiis ang paglalambing mo eh."

She moved towards him while he placed his arm around her. She then put her head on his chest and her arms on his waist.

"Bango naman ng husband ko. Kinikilig tuloy ako."

She joked.

"Ikaw na ang nambobola sa umaga ngayon ha."

She giggled.

"Di naman, telling the truth lang."

"Weh."

"Rj, I have a question."

"Ano yun, Maine?"
