Chapter 23

Kuuga walks away, making a plan to fight against someone with the same abilities as him. Hearing Kirishima and Sato's loss and the starting of Tokoyami and Tsuyu's exams.

Kuuga: (mentally) "Mom basically has the same ability, but she's more experienced in it."

Kuuga scratches his head in frustration for being unable to come up with a plan as he hears the announcement of his classmates' results. Taking note of the matches, he prepares himself as the match of Sayo and Annya against Edge Shot begins.

Sayo and Annya are seen standing in a battle ground, similar to Tokoyami and Tsuyu's exam.

Intercom: "Team Aisaka and Kuroishi. Practical Exam. Ready. Go!"

Sayo: "We can do this, Kuroishi!"

Annya: "Please call me Annya."

Sayo giggles and switches to ghost form and begins to float around, putting half of her ghostly self through a wall, making Annya sweatdrop.

Annya: "Wh-What are you doing?"

Sayo retracts herself from the wall, flipping herself to face Annya upside down, hovering in front of her.

Sayo: "Looking for a way out, might as well scare Mr. Edge Shot while doing so!"

Annya: "Scare… him…?"

Sayo hums in response as she begins to hover away from the red-eyed girl towards a door.

Sayo: "This must be a way out!"

Annya: "Wait."

Sayo: "Hm?"

Sayo stops before turning around to face her.

Annya: "The pathway looks suspicious… A-Aisaka!"

Sayo: "Eh?"

From the pathway, a silhouette of a ninja-looking person stands behind her.

Edge Shot: "Ninpo: Thousand Sheet Pierce!"

Edge Shot flattens, twisting himself into a pointy string and launches himself towards Sayo.

Annya: "Sayo!"

Annya reaches her right hand forward, as the shadow beneath her floats up and turns into multiple spears and launches, aiming around the ghost girl in an attempt to intercept the Pro Hero.

Annya: "Move."

Edge Shot pierced through her… is what you would see but the Pro Hero only phased through her body, not affecting the floating girl whatsoever. Edge Shot dodged the spears and revealed his head as his body remained into a string-like look.

Edge Shot: "Wh-What?!"

Annya shot another wave of shadow spears towards Edge Shot, who spirals out of the way, creating a distance between them. The Pro Hero narrows his eyes as his head sweats a bit.

Edge Shot: (mentally) "Both are hard to attack… especially the ghost. This match is impossible to win, but I'll make it worth a while for them to complete this exam."

Edge Shot flattens himself and prepares to launch himself.

Edge Shot: "Fishhook Snag!"

The Pro Hero launches himself forward towards Annya, in an attempt to capture her.

Annya: "Tch…! Seven-hundred spears!"

The shadows being produced by the pillars and herself turned into multiple shadow spears. The red-eyed girl reaches her right hand forward as the shadows move forward to intercept the red-pointed string coming towards her.
