She was certain that Lalisa was lying. . .

After a short silence, Rosè laughed lightly and replied, "Yep, why? Are you coming tomorrow again?"

Lalisa smiled with satisfaction and replied cheerfully, "Nothing! I won't be coming tomorrow. Good night, Minger!"

"Good night!" Rosè replied.

Lalisa hung up the call and looked up at Li Huiran, whose mouth had fallen open in surprise. Bai Jiawei sighed and glared at Eunha, "Okay, good. I know Minger and she is a good kid. However, you shouldn't go bother them all the time.

"I know, dad. Is there anything else? If there isn't I'm leaving."

"You can -" Before Bai Jiawei could finish his sentence, Li Huiran seemed to come out from her shock as she looked up at Lalisa.

"No, there is no way you were at the Wu family's house."

Bai Jiawei frowned and turned around to look at Li Huiran.

"Jiawei, I saw Lalisa get into a black car with a man yesterday. The man is very tall and young. I'm sure I saw her leave with him!"

Lalisa smiled. No wonder why Li Huiran told Bai Jiawei about her being gone the past few days. It was because she had evidence. . . But a mouth wasn't enough to prove anything.

"Auntie Li, what are you talking about? A man? That car belonged to Rosè's brother and she came to pick me up. Did you see something wrong?"

Li Huiran glared at Lalisa, "No, I'm sure."

Bai Jiawei stood up from the dining table and slammed the fork onto the table, "Enough, Li Huiran! Lisa already said she was over at Rosè's house, so why are you still making things up!"

"I'm not! I -"

"As an elder, is this how you should behave and treat Lili?" Bai Jiawei pointed a finger at Li Huiran angrily, "Lili, you can go upstairs."

"Okay, good night!" Lalisa shrugged before going upstairs. She had to praise Bai Jiawei for his amazing acting skills. If it weren't for the fact that she knew about his secrets, she would have believed his act and really thought that he loved her and treated her very well.

But it was all fake. Maybe Bai Jiawei still had some feelings for her, because she was his daughter. However, she couldn't forgive him. His feelings were like glass; easily broken.

Lalisa entered her bedroom and closed the door behind her. A few minutes later, she heard someone stomp up the stairs, and she guessed that it was probably Bai Jiawei.

She didn't know what Li Huiran or Eunha were doing still downstairs, but she didn't care. Lalisa washed up before climbing onto the bed with her laptop, and she began searching up recipes for omelette rolls.

Eggs, carrots, scallions, salt, black peppers, vegetable oil. . .

She scrolled through the directions and realized that it was very simple. With a smile, Lalisa saved the recipe and closed her laptop before crawling into her blanket to watch dramas on her phone.

She watched late into midnight in her bed without closing the lights. She told herself that it was because the drama was too addicting, but in reality, it was because she was waiting for someone.

Finally, after several episodes, the balcony door clicked open. Lalisa wasn't facing the balcony, but her eyes lit up when she heard the slight sound.

The door closed and a deep voice said, "Lisa, why aren't you asleep yet?"

"I. . ." Lalisa closed her phone and turned around, "I was watching a drama."

Jungkook sighed and took her phone away before closing the lights, "Let's go to sleep."

Lalisa nodded her head like an obedient child and helped lift the blanket up for Jungkook so he could get onto the bed. Jungkook wrapped one arm around Lalisa's body and they laid down. Lalisa snuggled up against Jungkook's warm chest and closed her eyes.

Now it was time to sleep.

---

The next morning, Jungkook was gone before Lalisa woke up, but like always, there was a single red rose inside the vase on Lalisa's bed stand.

"A duck walked up to the lemonade stand and he said to the man, running the stand, 'Hey!' bum bum bum got any grapes?" Lalisa hummed 'The Duck Song' as she skipped over to the restroom to get ready for the day.

She walked down for breakfast and Bai Jiawei was already gone for work. Lalisa slightly frowned when she thought of the fact that Bai Jiawei was the current boss of the He Corporation.

She couldn't do anything right now. . . But Lalisa was determined to get the He Corporation back. Her grandpa had worked so hard to start and build the He Corporation, but now, Bai Jiawei had stolen it.

Lalisa took a deep breath and sat down at the dining table. She was the only heir of the He Corporation now. No matter what, she was going to get everything back!

But now wasn't the time. She had nothing to fight against Bai Jiawei. . . Although Lalisa didn't want to, she had to wait. When everything was ready, she was going to get her revenge!

As Lalisa was eating her breakfast, Eunha walked down the stairs in her nightgown. She was yawning and a large frown appeared on her face when she saw Lalisa.

With nobody around, Eunha didn't even try to act nice to Lalisa. She pulled her chair out with a bang and sat down. Lalisa quickly finished her food and stood up to leave.

"Where are you going?"

Lalisa completely ignored her as she walked away.

"Are you afraid of me, Lalisa?"

Lalisa smirked but she continued to walk, which aggravated Eunha.

"Lalisa, I'm not going to be home today because I will be going over to. . . Sehun's house for the night. Can you tell my mom?" Eunha crossed her arms together and grinned.

Lalisa rolled her eyes and stopped. Eunha was truly stupid. . . Sehun was the only thing Eunha had against her but she didn't even care about him. It was kind of funny watching Eunha attack her using the same thing over and over again and thinking that she was successful when in reality, Lalisa didn't even care.

Lalisa turned around and raised one eyebrow, "Do you not have a mouth or do you not know how to talk?"
