Chapter 116: Once and for all

"Hm. . . you are very suspicious right now."

Jungkook looked up with wide eyes, "She is not my fiancee! Baby, let me explain. Our families are quite close, so the parents joked about arranging a marriage for the two of us when we were young. However, my parents and I never took it seriously! It was always the Shen family that spread rumors about us getting married! However, none of it is true! I can go to the Shen mansion right now and tell them there is no way I will marry their daughter right now if you want!"

Lisa watched as Jungkook nervously stared at her and held her two hands tightly.

If he really did that, Lisa could already imagine how sad the young miss of the Shen family would be. Her parents would also be very unhappy with how Jungkook treated their baby daughter.

"Really?" Jungkook gripped her hands a little more tightly, not completely believing her.

Jungkook smiled and let go of her hands, getting ready to start the car again.

Jungkook froze and turned to look at Lisa again.

"Don't you dare cheat on me! If you do, I will rip your body up into pieces and feed it to dogs, okay?!"

Jungkook stared at Lisa's scary expression and laughed, "Okay! I promise I won't! What do you want to eat? I will treat you to this meal."

"Yay! I want to eat hot pot!" Lisa said excitedly although Jungkook treated her to every meal they ate together.

They arrived at the restaurant and entered a private room. After ordering a ton of dishes, they sat down to eat.

Halfway through the meal, Jungkook asked, "So Li Huiran is lying. . . Are you going to expose her?"

Lisa blew on the piece of meat she was holding and ate it, "Not yet! It's not time yet."

She grinned and stabbed her chopsticks into her bowl, "I need to kill them once and for all!"

After lunch, Lisa returned to the He mansion.

Once she opened the door, she heard Li Huiran's high-pitched voice.

"The fruit is too sour!"

"Oh! I'm sorry, madam. I will go change it right away."

Lisa raised one eyebrow and put on her slippers before walking into the room. When she reached the living room, she saw Li Huiran sitting on the couch with Eunha next to her.

They were both watching a reality television show and there were several plates of food in front of them.

Li Huiran had one hand placed over her stomach, and there was a small smile on her face. They didn't seem to notice Lisa when she walked in.

Lisa watched them for a few seconds and then she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around and saw a worker carrying a plate of oranges.

"Hello, young miss." The worker greeted her, causing both Li Huiran and Eunha to turn around and look at her.

"Oh, Lili is back!" Li Huiran said.

Lisa turned around and looked at Li Huiran, who leaned back against the couch comfortably.

She raised one eyebrow at Li Huiran.

"I'm sorry, but it isn't very convenient for me to stand up right now. After all, I am pregnant."

Lisa slightly furrowed her eyebrows and nodded her head, "Oh, really?"

Li Huiran frowned, "Yes, of course!"

Lisa smirked before turning around. She looked down at the plate of oranges and picked one up.

She bit into the orange and chewed for a few seconds, "The orange is so sweet. Auntie Li, I thought you liked sour food."

With a smile, she ate the remaining half of the orange slice and walked upstairs.

Li Huiran's smile disappeared and she glared at the worker.

"What are you standing there for?! Hurry up and give me the fruit!"

"Yes - Yes, ma'am."

Lisa heard Li Huiran's bossy command as she walked up the stairs. Even in the past, Li Huiran wouldn't treat the workers like this.

Although she was still arrogant, she didn't get angry without any reason. Or at least she tried to hold her attitude in. . .

Most of the workers inside the house were from when Lisa's mother and grandfather were still alive. There were several old workers like the butler who have been around since before Lisa was born.

Of course, there were also many new workers.

Lisa knew that none of the old workers really liked or respected Li Huiran and her daughter, although they couldn't show it on the outside.

They were loyal to the Kim family, and Li Huiran or Eunha were both outsiders that only shamelessly "broke into" the Kim mansion.

Li Huiran must have felt it too because she never liked to stay around the workers either. When she first came to the Kim mansion, she was nice to all the workers and tried to build the image of a great female head of the family.

However, none of the workers really believed her act and they maintained a distance from Li Huiran. After a while, Li Huiran also gave up and she just ignored the workers.

However, now. . . Right after Li Huiran got pregnant, she was already acting all bossy and arrogant. This made Lisa disgusted.

It was good that she wasn't actually pregnant. If Li Huiran was, Lisa was afraid that in the future, she might not even have a position in the house anymore.

Li Huiran would strengthen her position as the female head, and she would use it to her advantage by acting all rude and arrogant.

Lisa walked into her room and closed her eyes as she jumped onto the bed.

All is well. . . Li Huiran isn't pregnant.
