Deep Dark Ocean

So many emotions feel the bodies
Consuming us with pain
Yet we feel numb
The sky's are blue
But all we see is grey
The light not shining through
Yet they constantly say
There's Light at the end of the tunnel
But for now we'll take it
Never think we'd be the one to settle
But looking back
Seems the past few years
Its all we've done
The saying life's to short
Is an understatement
You'll look down and be young
Look up the next moment
And see your children's children
The night might be young
But it seems the days get longer
The years fly past you
Should i give up?
Should I keep chasing?
Questions we ask ourselves frequently
Music's on the radio
Kids playing in the street
Were walking to the beat
Of our own lives
Yet the world still oh so quiet
Our brain constantly at work
Barely catching Z's
Outside the box peering in
Searching desperately for that yellow brick road
Everyone loves oh so dearly
Listening to the birds that sing
In the tallest of trees
Watching the human eyes
Peering
Pointing the finger
Patiently waiting for his answer
Learning to give ourself to the only one
Who makes the moon reflect the sun
All the stars in the sky
The only reason we walk this earth
He is god
Recycling our lives
Helping us rest our eyes
He who gives us our lives
Making us equal in every way
This is the deep dark ocean we live in
Making sure with every stroke of the Ora
A change being made
This is what we call life
