They say beauty
Is in the eyes
Of the beholder...
But what happens
When the person of which possesses
This beauty
Can't quite grasp her beauty?

I'm not as pretty as her
I'm not as thick as her
I wished I didn't have this
I want to fix that
Blah blah blah

While that slips from her peeled lips
My minds at work
& I can't help but think
I'm sitting inches away from pure beauty

I'm sitting back watching her
Like woah dere
She believes
Her pretty is never pretty enough

But I'm screaming
She's a walking painting
Drawing you to her
At every which way she turns

ABSTRACT
Her scars just a glimpse of her pain
But her eyes
Are the windows into her soul

Those deep brown cesspools
Afraid
Terrified to shine
She dims her light
She's struggling
With what we call beauty
& how she sees herself

Putting herself down
Judging
Hurting
Punishing herself for something
Beyond her control

But what she doesn't know
Is it won't help
I found the beauty
In what she calls the beast

See the outside doesn't mean a thing
Because if your inside doesn't match
The voice that squeaks
Then I know this to be
Too good to be true
See when a liar lies
You call them a lie
Not the truth

So if I were to say ugly
God would kill me dead
You're a creation of god
Every flaw you see
I see them as perfection

A drop of peace & heaven
Designed just for me
ABSTRACT
You're art work
Which doesn't mean your art work
Is meant for everyone
It's designed for the misfits

& gorgeous no matter what you say to me
You're a dream
Anyone would be lucky to have
Someone as beautiful as you
