“Mel I’m fucking serious!” yelled Max.

“It’s one damn store, I doubt that it will kill you.” I say as I walked into the shoe store.

“You told me that you wanted to go running.”

“We did go running, I just wanted to grab some shoes for school.”

“Then why didn’t you ask the girls to go?”

“Because they went yesterday.”

“Why couldn’t you go yesterday?”

“Because,” I said as I scanned through the converse, “I was with Niall.”

“You’re always with Niall.”

“You point is?” I asked as I rounded the corner.

Walking over to the sandals I looked through the pairs as Max says, “You’re keeping something from him aren’t you?”

I stopped in my tracks, “What are you talking about?”

Walking next to me he says, “You know you’re not good with hiding things from me.”

“Who said I’m hiding anything?”

“Mel.” He says softly with concern rolling off his tongue.

“I’m not hiding anything, do you like these?” I asked as I picked up a pair of running shoes.

“They have bad bottoms, don’t change the subject. What’s going on?”

Shaking my head I say, “Nothing.”

Breathing out a sigh of irritation he says, “You’d let me know if whatever your hiding gets out of hand, or to bad right?”

I didn’t say anything at first as I say, “I’m not hiding anything.”

“Then for my sanity can you just agree?”

I nod, “If I were to keep anything from you, I’d tell you.”

Max nodded as his phone rings, “What’s up? Nah I’m down on Clement. No, Mel is looking at shoes. Yeah I’ll be there in a bit, I’ll ask her.” he says as he hangs up the phone.

“What will you ask me?” I ask as I go to look at the boots.

“Not here, come on.” he says as he holds his hand out to me.

“Shit.” I say as I take his hand he walks me outside.

“Pause, wait! What do you mean you want to go on a quick bullshit run?” I asked as I walked into the warehouse.

“Well hello to you to sunshine.” Smiles Liam as he leans back on the couch.

“Are you crazy?” I asked.

“It’s just a bull shit run before school starts.” Says Louis.

“Normal people go out and get wasted, and party their asses off before school starts. Yet your sitting here talking about going to do an,”

“Illegal importation.” Says Zayn.

“Illegal import- What!” I paused as I look at Zayn.

The guys smiled as Liam says, “It’s a little thrill run.”

“Illegally importing shit is ‘a little thrill run’? Are you insane!”

“It’s bitch work, it’s like shit we learned in our first few weeks in the job. It’s like preschool work.” Says Max.
