She laid a trap, and I fell right into it. I sat in the garden, the pain slowly subsiding. It was an excruciating pain, like nothing I'd ever felt before. Yet, as a smile graced my lips, I couldn't help but be amused and strangely content. I had shared her pain, felt what she had felt, and strangely, it made me happy. It seemed like the old her was slowly returning - the "tit for tat" girl who always had a witty comeback. I reminisced about the times First luv used to address her as "Bakya bari ta kwana."

I sighed, acknowledging that I deserved this. Rising from the garden, I strolled to the mosque to pray Isha. Afterwards, as I walked back home, I found Beauty laying her head on Firstluv's lap. I playfully pushed her head away and took her spot. Beauty, clearly upset, pouted and threw a little tantrum. I responded by sticking my tongue out at her.

For some inexplicable reason, I felt genuinely happy. Beauty shot me an annoyed glare and tried to push my head away, but I was stronger.

"Come on, let's go home," I said, a mischievous grin forming on my lips. She stomped her feet, looking like a frustrated six-year-old.

"But you said we were spending the night here," she protested, and I couldn't help but find her adorable.

"When did I say that?" I retorted, shocked by her blatant lie.

"First luv, look, he promised me earlier, and now he's trying to break the promise," Beauty explained, and First luv shot me a playful glare.

"Ka kiyaye ni," First luv scolded, and I just smiled, lying back on the couch.

"You two should head to your own room and sleep," she instructed again. I chuckled at the face Beauty made.

"No, First luv, I want to sleep with you," Beauty protested. Her eyes welled up, and I struggled to suppress my laughter. She escaped from going home and now she has to spend the night with me.

"Go to your husband's room. What would you want to do in my room?" First luv's tone was teasing.

"Get up and follow him," First luv ordered, and Beauty reluctantly left, her face flushed with anger.

"Stop laughing at her. I only did that because of you. Now go to her," First luv said as I hugged her, bidding her goodnight.

Entering my apartment, a sense of contentment washed over me. All I felt was peace. On my large bed, I found her lying there, her back against the headboard, duvet pulled up to her waist. She wore a scowl, pretending she didn't want to see me. I didn't speak to her, merely walking to my closet to change into my nightwear. I switched off the light, stepped out, and she immediately stood up.

"Turn on the light," she demanded.

"What if I don't?" I challenged, stepping closer to her.

"Where are you?" She asked her voice laced with fear.

"Right here, baby," I whispered into her ear, and she darted away. But I swiftly caught her, wrapping my arms around her waist.

Her playful struggle in my arms filled the room with laughter. She pretended to resist, but it was clear that she enjoyed this playful chase. As I held her close, I could feel her heart racing, matching the rhythm of my own excitement.

"Caught you," I whispered, planting a gentle kiss on her cheek.

She turned to face me, her eyes sparkling with a mixture of mischief and affection. "You always do," she teased.

I smiled, savoring the moment. "I can't resist chasing after you."

She leaned in, and our lips met in a soft, lingering kiss. It was a kiss filled with unspoken emotions, a silent promise what bound us together. As we pulled away, she rested her head on my chest, her arms wrapped around my waist.
