Valentine's Day

A day for loved ones and couples to be together and love each other

A day that single people dread because they have no one to be with in a romantic way

However, today was the day that you would erase all the memories you had created with your now ex boyfriend of three years

About a year ago a company created a device that erases all and any memories you want that give you grief or sadness

Today on Valentine's day, they had a discount for people who wanted to forget their loved ones who caused them wrong

Your loved one was Grayson Dolan

Two weeks ago you and Grayson were at club to celebrate your three years together, you had gone to the bathroom, but as soon as you had come back, you saw Grayson and another girl kissing

Grayson turned to you and pushed the girl off and quickly ran to you, talking to you but it was all noise, you still couldn't believe what you had seen

Enraged you slapped him across the face and told him to forget you forever as you ran out the club

Grayson called and texted you everyday begging for you to give him a chance to explain himself, that it wasn't what you thought, but you ignored it all

Which now led you to where you were, in the room that would erase your memories of Grayson

"Good afternoon Ms.L/N, my name is Dr.Chila, I'll be taking you through the process of having your memory erased, how are you feeling today?" the doctor asked

"I'm feeling good, it is Valentine's day after all" you chuckled sadly, remembering how Grayson had plans with you

"Right...well this works in phases, it starts with erasing the first memories you have created with the said person and so on and so forth until all your memories are erased"

"How many phases is it?"

"Four phases, this chair is the device, it takes the most important memories to make you see them and then by the end, the person is gone from your memories forever, and it will prevent you from talking to that person too, are you ready?"

You breathed out and nodded as the doctor pushed the chair back to have it reclining, "ok, as soon as I leave the room a hologram will pop up and will ask you if you are sure you would like your memories erased and obviously you will click yes and it'll start, any other questions?"

You shook your head as the doctor wished you luck and left the room, and like they said a hologram with the question popped up, you breathed in and out a shaky breath as tears started leaving your eyes

Am I really going to do this...yes, I am, I need to forget him you thought in your head as you pressed yes and the room turned black for a few seconds before showing a sign that the first phase had started and soon after the first memory had appeared

Phase One

"So where are we going?" your cheery self asked the boy next to you who just gave a nervous smile

"I-I was thinking of getting some ice cream since it's such a hot day out today" he suggested as you nodded your head agreeing with the boy

It was your first date together, you were wearing a sleeveless summer dress with slide in shoes while the boy was wearing a top that matched with your shoes and a pair of shorts
