Scary Movie

"C'mon Grayson, it's my turn to put on a movie!" you pouted at your best friend as he laughed sitting down on the couch

"No, it's my turn sweetheart, I distinctly remember you choosing a rom-com last time we had a movie night" he smiled at you while you blushed at the nickname he used

"Fine," you plopped down on the sofa next to him, "what movie did you put?"

"Bird Box"

"And I'm leaving, bye Grayson, it was nice knowing you" you said as you got up, but Grayson was faster, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulled you down on the other side of him so your legs are across his lap

"Nope, don't think so, I had to sit through The Proposal, now you have to sit through this one"

"But the other one was at least funny! This one will give me the hibbie gibbies and-"

"Nope, shhh, no more excuses, we're watching this and that's final" he stated as he put a blanket over the both of you and started the movie

The movie started and everything seemed to be going normal in the movie, until it wasn't.

You gasped as soon as you saw a lady banging her head against a window, making you hide in Grayson's chest at the sight of blood, Grayson chuckled and wrapped an arm around you protectively and let you know as soon as the bad part was over, but that was only the beginning of the bad part

You would jump and flinch at the screams and banging, you would do it so much that Grayson started to get concerned, the part that got to you was where one of the people sacrificed himself to save his partner and the kids they cared for

You hid into Grayson's chest and tried to muffle your tears into his chest so he wouldn't hear you but it was no use

"Y-Y/N? What's wrong?" Grayson asked as he paused the movie and pulled you back to see tears running down your cheeks

"W-why d-did he have to d-die?" you sobbed into his chest

"It's okay, do you want to go to bed now? Want me to take you to bed?" he asked softly, turning off the T.V, you nodded your head and Grayson picked you up bridal style and carried you into his room of the house

On the way there your head was buried into his chest, trying to keep his warmth close, soon enough he set you down on his bed and got under the covers with you, snuggling you into chest

"I'm sorry I ruined movie night for you" you whispered with your head on his shoulder and his arm wrapping around you protectively

"It's ok Y/N, we can always continue some other time you feel better" he responded kissing your forehead

A while went by with a comfortable silence sitting between the two of you, knowing neither of you were asleep

"Grayson?"

"Yes Y/N?"

"What would you do if what happened in the movie, happened in real life?"

"Mmm, I would try to protect you and E to the best of my abilities, wouldn't want anything to happen to you guys"

"You would protect me?"

"Yea, I wouldn't want anything to happen to you, you're my best friend and I love you"

You turned your head up to look at him, only to see him already looking at you with love and admiration

"I love you too Gray" you said shuffling up and leaving a long kiss on his cheek and pulling away to look at him and cupping his cheek with one of your hands as you pressed your forehead against his

"I love you so much" you whispered, and with that Grayson met his lips with yours and kissed you softly and with love, and you returned it with passion and love

You broke off the kiss and pressed your foreheads together again, "you have no idea how long I've been wanting to do that" whispered Grayson with a chuckle

"I'm glad you did" you said settling down onto his shoulder again

"...do you want to be my girlfriend Y/N?" Grayson asked nervously

You intertwined his hand in yours and kissed it, "of course I'll be your girlfriend Grayson, I need someone to protect me anyway" you giggled as Grayson held you tighter to his person

"I will always protect you Y/N, no matter the cost"
