Sameera's P.O.V.

Kriti took some money from Dad by making some excuse and immediately came to Miss Anna's house.

"Thank you Kriti. This means a lot to me. Trust me I will return you the money when I'll have."

"Sam what are you talking about? It's your money."

"No, it's not my money. It's Dad's."

"Sam! He loves you! He will do anything for you. Just go once and try to explain him everything. I am sure he will understand!"

"You are saying this even after you saw what happened that day. How can you?"

"I am sorry! But I want my family back just the way it was. It's not the same without you. Dad is always upset ever since you are staying here and he snaps at me as well for small things. I just want both of you to get back together."

"You heard what he said right. He reminded me of the fact that I am not his own daughter. How do you expect me to go back and stay with him after that?" I said.

"I understand, Sam. I totally understand. You know what I still can't believe you both are not actually biologically related. I always thought that he favours you more than me and you are his favourite daughter."

I scoffed. "I can't believe you felt that. Have you seen how he would scold me for small things. Sometimes, even when I haven't done anything."

"I am not denying that." She chuckled. "But still, he did spoil you a lot as well. Don't fathers do that always with their favourite daughter." She whined.

True. He has spoilt me. But, it was mostly because he felt that only by giving me everything I want he could make me happy and forget my parents.

But how can I? I can never forget Mumma and Papa. Never.

"I guess that is the reason why I am more hurt. He loved and cared for me. Always. Until now." I replied to her.

"He still does. But, Nikhil has made him believe that you are wrong."

"Yes. Because he trusts him more."

We talked for sometime. I told her about my worries of how I will divorce Nikhil, about my job. About money. And about my loneliness.

Kriti is always my comfort person. I can always share my problems with her. And I don't even have anyone else apart from her after all.

"I really can't believe Aayansh fired you even after you told him everything." Kriti said when I told her about everything that happened in the office on my last day.

"He doesn't believes me. How can I even expect him to? He is the same person who accused me of cheating him."

"I think he still hasn't forgotten you!" She said.

"Correct! He still hasn't forgotten that I cheated on him, which I didn't."

"But still he could have chosen not to fire you."

"When your own husband and parents betray you, you really don't have any expectations left from other people." I told her.

Someone banged the door of the house. The doorbell has stopped working.

But who is banging the door like a madman.

I was getting up to open the door, but Kriti offered to take the door.

She went to open the door.

"Who's on the door Kriti?" I asked her shouting.

"I don't know. A boy is on the door."
