November 14th, 2017:

We were sitting in the hotel suite we now had access to since the boys were arriving today, eating a late breakfast. I only had an interview with Mochi Magazine, an Asian American magazine run mainly for women, at 1pm and then the boys were landing at 2pm. We then had our appearance and performance at the Late Late show to record in the evening.

"If I didn't speak English, would you have made me do all of this after the Celine performance?" I question, taking a bite of fruit from my breakfast bowl, and looking at Yoona who was across from me on her phone.

"Hmm?" she hummed, looking up at me with a look she knew I'd been talking but not actually registering anything.

"If I didn't speak English," I repeat, "would you have made me stay and go to all the events and do all these interviews?"

"... No, probably not," she responded after a few seconds of thought, "we'd probably have flown back home for you to rehearse with the boys. But you do speak English and we're utilising that. Your English has proven to be very useful, and if we want to break into the US market, what you're doing is crucial".

I just nodded, frowning slightly. I knew my English was useful, but I was just so tired, did they have to fill up these four days so intensely? Because now I had to keep going but with the boys, and while that might mean they take some of the stress and pressure, I knew I'd still have to translate for them, regardless of what Namjoon said, I couldn't let him do all the work. I unconsciously let out a deep sigh.

"I'm sorry it had to be so packed," Yoona says noticing the sigh, "the timing was just perfect, and we tried making it as much of a compromise as possible... you know, you had that dinner with Timothée and nearly a whole day with Halsey".

I just nodded, still feeling the one to two events a day, several interviews, a photoshoot, meeting with producers other than Halsey, all of that deserved much more than one dinner off.

"The boys will get here today and you can take the backseat," Yoona tries to reassure me.

"And let Namjoon oppa translate everything?" I say with a raised eyebrow, "he'll get burned out two days in".

Yoona purses her lips looking at me intently.

"It's fine, I know it's the job," I say standing up, taking my now empty fruit bowl with me to put it with the other dirty dishes.

I went to the stylist's room to get my makeup and hair done for the interview. I'd be wearing my own clothes given it wasn't televised or anything.

"Y/N..." Yoona came into the room, "I know it's hard for you right now and I really wish I could alleviate the load, trust me, I narrowed down the initial schedule given to me a lot. But right now, you're the most recognisable face of BTS. People love you, we have to capitalise on that for the group. Hell, even the fact this dating rumour with you and Timothée is so popular shows that, even if it's f*cking annoying..."

"What happened to BTS always being eight?" I question, having felt the group, and the company, always prioritised the group and promoted us that way over the individual. After getting burnt at the stake by fans for supposedly leaving the group behind over the summer, I didn't like the thought of that starting up again.
