November 17th, 2017:

We'd woken up early to be in the morning time slot of Mario Lopez's radio show. And so we were currently on air with Mario Lopez and so far, honestly, he had been the nicest, least problematic host yet. Yes, he was asking the generic questions like what we liked about LA, how we came to be as a group, and our favourite artists we were excited to meet, but he hadn't made any weird comments about me so far at least. He'd also asked about the upcoming Mic Drop remix with Steve Aoiki and Desiigner which had been announced recently. Namjoon and the boys were also once again stepping up on the speaking front, especially Seokjin thus far.

"Your fans let's talk about them," Lopez says continuing on with the interview, "they're very passionate, the BTS ARMY. What's the craziest thing a fan has done to meet you?"

This was also a rudimentary question about how we felt about how "crazy" ARMY were, but the phrasing was a little different and caught me off guard. He wasn't just asking about the fandom in general, he was looking for a specific instance of them going too far to meet us, and I could think of one like it had happened yesterday despite it occurring in 2013. I could still see his face, read his letters, and feel his hands and the brick wall behind me even after Daeseong.

"They love us... everything," Seokjin says after Namjoon translated.

I wanted to help out given asking for a specific scenario required for a pretty good knowledge of English vocabulary, but the only instance I could think of was that night. I could see Namjoon mouthing for the members to speak up as Lopez pushed on.

"They love everything about you, yeah," Lopez nods, "do they ever try to grab you? Attack you?"

"Sometimes," Seokjin responds, "touch me my face".

"Do you like when they grab you?" Lopez asks, already knowing the answer I felt.

"... Ouch," Seokjin says chuckling slightly.

"What about you Y/N?" Lopez questions probably because I hadn't spoken in a bit and he knew I was fluent from my one answer before and me translating quietly as Namjoon spoke a couple of times, "you must have your own subsection of fans as the only girl".

"Umm, yeah, maybe," I say unsure of how to go about this, "but they rarely ever actually cross a line. They can just get a bit overexcited and with how many of them there are, sometimes things happen. But it's never been too bad".

I let out a quiet breath, ridding my mind of the events crossing my mind. We went on to talk about group superlatives and cultural holidays like Chuseok/Thanksgiving.

"And do you guys do Christmas?" Lopez asks.

"Um, yeah," I nod, speaking up now because I was feeling a bit bad the boys really were pulling their weight and I probably looked like a lazy freeloader, "Christianity is like one of the biggest religions so Christmas is really popular".
