Nandini's pov
'But Monster!'
A faint voice came from the back of my mind.
I stopped kissing and pushed Manik away instantly.I looked at him for the last time but couldn't read his face.I turned on my heels and left the spot immediately ignoring his calls.
"Nandini what happened? Why are you leaving? Stop please! Give me the answer damn it! " I heard his faint voices as I walked past the woods to my car.
Was he following me? Yes of course. I quickened my steps and got into the car. I pulled away from there and from the reflection in the rear view mirror I saw him panting with his hands resting on his knees. A lone tear escaped my eyes.

My phone went off.
"What the hell are you doing Nanz? I have been calling you since the last five minutes? Why didn't you pick up my calls? Forget that Why aren't you opening the front door?" Navya blurted in one breath
"Umm my phone was silent."
"And ears were deaf." She huffed
"I'll open the door."
"You better do."
I disconnected and yes there were six missed calls from her number.I quickly washed my face to wipe off the tear stains. I was crying like a fool since I returned home and then I slept when the tears dried. I was woken up by the calling bell and it was then I saw my cellphone flashing Navya's number.
The bell rang once again and I rushed downstairs fixing my hair with my fingers and turned the door knob
"Are you drunk Nanz?" Navya said with her hands on her waist.
"No why would I?"I said looking down
"Then why the hell weren't you opening the door?"
"I had slept."
"Wow awesome and here I was thinking what if burglars broke in and you passed out."
"Don't worry I'm not a chicken." I faked a smile
I turned away to save me from further queries
"Wait a minute Nanz!"
The damage was done
"Yeah" I turned back tried to sound all cool
"Why have your eyes turned red?"
Aiyappa why don't you help me in these times
"Nothing just overslept" I smiled and moved towards the stairs but before I could lift my leg for the first step she turned me, grasping my left arm.
"Were you crying?" she demanded
"N-n- no Navu why would I?" I stammered
"I'm pretty sure you were.Are you going to tell me or not?"
I looked down finding an answer. She left my arm and rushed upstairs.
What was she upto?

I ran behind her and saw my phone in her hands.
"Wh-what are you doing Navu?"
"I'm gonna call the monster."
"But why?"
"I'm sure he must have hurt you."
"No nothing like that happened." I shouted
