It's the first anniversary you could spend away from Formula One with your husband Daniel Ricciardo. Normally your anniversary would be on a work day, but today was the first time that you both were free to do what ever you wanted. Daniel had surprised you with a weekend getaway to the beach, where you would spend your anniversary. Daniel had loaded all your stuff in the car and it was finally to go. You were so happy. Nothing could ruin this day for you.

The two of you got into the car and you were still smiling so much.

'Here we go,' Daniel said and drove away from your house.

'We're finally getting away on the day of our anniversary,' you said.

'Yeah, been waiting on that for a while.' You knew that Daniel had planned this for a while. You two had talked about it for so long that you wanted to do this and today was finally the day. Daniel turned on the radio and you both sang along to the songs.

You were just two hours away from the beach, when you saw a car coming close to you pretty fast. It wasn't until you heard a loud bang that you knew something was wrong. You looked at Daniel as the car started to spin. You looked at him in shock. This wasn't happening. You saw everything happened. You knew there was a lot of noice, but only some noises got through to you. The glass of the windows was shattered. You saw how you were coming right at a street light. With these speed, there was no way that you were going to make it out alive. You grabbed Daniel his hand, while you let everything happening. It was crazy that there was so much sound and so many movement, every thing seemed to slow down, almost peaceful. If this would be your time to go, you would be happy and leave the world peacefully. Isn't that weird? The car started to roll over a couple of times until you came to a stop.

It took you a moment before you realized that you stopped moving. You slowly turned your head to the side and looked at Daniel. He looked fine. It was a miracle that you could walk out of this alive.

'You okay?' he slowly said.

'I think so,' you mumbled, still quite in shock from what just happened. Daniel got out of the car, pretty quickly. You saw that he was fine. There was nothing physically wrong with him as far as you could tell. There were a couple of scratches, but other then that he was fine. He walked over to you and opened the door. You unbuckled your seatbelt and slowly moved it out of the way. You could feel that there was something wrong. You weren't in any pain, but you knew that it wasn't good.

'Are you hurt?' Daniel asked, who could probably tell that you didn't feel right.

'I don't know,' you mumbled. You were disoriented. You saw everything happening and the car was a mess, yet you were here alive and it just didn't feel right. It felt like you should've died in the crash, not walk away like this. Daniel held out his hand as he helped you get out of the car. He held you tight when you feet touched the ground. You stretched carefully. You felt sore and your neck began to hurt.

'Are you sure you're okay?' he asked you once again.

'Just a little sore.' You took a deep breath and took a moment to take everything in. You felt so many things at once, that you just couldn't take it anymore. 'I need to sit down,' you mumbled and slowly let yourself fall to the ground.

Daniel sat down in front of you, as he looked at you with worry on his face. He could tell that something was wrong. He didn't see any blood or bones sticking out. You looked fine. It was probably the adrenaline that kept you on your feet. You slowly heard sirens coming closer.

'We're okay,' Daniel said as he tucked a piece of hair behind your ear.

'How... Look at the car... We should've died...' You looked at Daniel with the tears in your eyes. 'This could've been the end, for the both of us.'

'But we're not dead. We're okay. We're alive and we're going to be just fine.'

'Then why don't I feel okay?'

'You're in shock, I think.' You shook your head as the tears started to fall down your cheeks.

'We're alright,' he said and kissed your forehead.
