David Croft his voice, and the engines of the cars were the only sound in your apartment. You were on the edge of your seat, watching the race. Your boyfriend, Lando Norris, was currently P3 and you hoped that he could keep it that way.

Suddenly, Croft, his voice became more serious. 'What is Norris doing? He's approaching turn 10 with way to much speed, and it doesn't seem like he's slowing down.'

The screen showed Lando his car, which was going way to fast.

'He's going too fast,' Croft said.

Your heart started to beat out of control. Your bit your nails as your eyes were glued to the screen. What in the world was happening with your boyfriend?

The board radio came up on the screen, but you couldn't hear anything that was being said.

'Norris reports to his team that he has no breaks. Lando Norris is now driving at a speed of 300 kilometres per hour, and he has no breaks. What is going to happen now? Are they going to let him crash into the barrier? What are they going to do to stop the car?'

Crash? They can't let him crash. Oh my god... So many things were going through your mind. You just imagined how he would crash. With his speed, the impact could be a lot. Please, just let him be okay, you thought.

There was a red flag, which meant that the other cars had to get off the track. Any car that needed to get past Lando would be in danger, including Lando himself.

'Lando is ahead of you, do not pass him. Slow down and do not pass him. I repeat, do not pass him. Everybody is getting this message,' Charles Leclerc his engineer told him.

'What in the world is Lando doing?' you heard Charles Leclerc on his board radio.

'He has no breaks,' you heard his engineer say.

You saw Lando arriving at turn 10, suddenly slowing down massively.

'And just in time, it looks like Norris got his breaks back! The red flag is now a yellow flag, and a virtual safety car is in this lap, which means no overtaking. Let's listen to Norris his radio.'

'Lando, are you okay?' you heard Jose ask.

'Yeah,' you heard him saying out of breath.

'We're going to have to retire the car. We don't think it's safe to drive any longer. I'm sorry mate.'

'It's okay. I'm glad nothing happened.'

You let out a breath and relaxed a little bit more.

Lando made his way to the garage, which meant that his race was over. You grabbed your phone and quickly texted Lando that he needed to call you as soon as he saw your message. It would probably take a while since he needed to talk to the press, but that was fine. You were just glad that he was okay.
