Eventually, sleep took over Edward's body due to sheer exhaustion.
Sometime in the middle of the night, Maymay shifted and they ended up in this position.

He smiled at their position.

He softly stroked her face.
His touch woke her up.
She slowly opened her eyes and was shocked to see him looking at her.
He smiled tentatively at Yamyam.
He was scared that she'd push him away.
So, he froze in his position, waiting for her next move.
But instead of pushing him away, she pulled him closer to her.
And kissed him lightly on the lips!
After which she looked him in the eyes and whispered..."I miss you."
He resisted the urge to assault her lips.
He shook off his lascivious thoughts first to ask her if she's already okay.
He's still worried about her because of last night's event.
“They told me what happened.”
She looked at him as if reading his thoughts.
"Okay ka na ba Yamyam?" alalang tanong nya sa dalaga habang hinahaplos ang buhok nito.
Upon hearing the name Yamyam, she immediately recalled yesterday's event.
She's still in shock upon learning the truth about her memory loss.
But oddly enough his presence seemed to calm her.
"Did they tell you about what they told me?"
"Yes, they did. And before I came here my lolo also told me of what happened between us."
"And that is....?" she hesitantly asked.
"That I promised you I'd come back but I couldn't."
He saw the sadness in her eyes.
He caressed her cheek with his free hand.
"But I'm here now, and I want to fulfill the promise I made to you when we were three!"
"You don't have to!"
"But I want to!" he assured her.
"You made that promise to someone that I don't even remember." she protested.
"You might think that you don't remember me and my promise but I know that this...(while pointing to her heart) remembers me!"
Kinapa nya ang nararamdaman nya sa sinabi ng binata.
He sensed her hesitation.
"I promise to kiss you every Christmas and New Year!" sabay halik sa noo ng dalaga.
"I promise to kiss you whenever you're sad!" at hinalikan nga sya ng marahan sa labi ng binata.
"I promise to kiss you whenever you're happy!" *kiss again.
"I promise to kiss you every day for the rest of our lives!" and he slowly swooped in to give her a mind-boggling kiss.
