Alyssa sits down on a bench as she watches Tyrone playing with Mia. She made sure to keep a close eye on him. They were at the park because Tyrone wanted to spend Tone with Mia and Alyssa wasn't too fond of him and wanted to meet with him at a public place and the park was Mia's favorite place.
Alyssa tried to hide her smile as she watched Tyrone push Mia on the swings. He would push her high up and when she came back down he would tickle her.
"You over there cheesing and shit." Alyssa's homegirl Jade said nudging her shoulder.
"I am not." Alyssa playfully rolled her eyes. "I just love her little laugh."
"Mhm." Jade eyed her. "I'm glad you wanted me to come with you though, cause if he would of tried something he woulda' got that ass pepper sprayed."
Alyssa covered her mouth containing her laughter. "And I know you serious too."
The two were engaged in their conversation that they didn't even see Tyrone and Mia walking up to them. He held Mia's hand carefully not to hurt his arm.
"Go take Mia to get sum ice cream, I wanna talk to her real quick."Tyrone held out a ten dollar bill to Jade.
"Who you talkin' too?" She looked around cause he was not talking to her like he lost his mind.
"You. Now gone head and take her."
Jade was about to say something rude but Alyssa spoke up. "It's fine Jade."
"You sure." She looked at Tyrone then at her friend.
"Yea I'm sure". He answered for her. Jade sucked her teeth before she grabbed Mia's hand snatching the money out of Tyrones.
"That's why his shit broken now." Jade commented as they walked away.
Tyrone sat down next to Alyssa as she looked ahead.
"How's your arm?" She says finally making eye contact.
"You think this a joke?" He chuckled shaking his head. Alyssa squinted her eyes as she looked at him.
"I didn't even say-"
"You told that nigga where I lay my head at?"
"I never-"
"Shut the fuck up and lemme talk." He said sternly as Alyssa rolled her eyes knowing better not to say anything.
