Chapter 29: The Shattered Star

Yuzui stood up from the sofa and walked over to the bathroom to clean her face. As she looked at herself, she remembered about Ken and the others.

She walked out of the bathroom and grabbed her phone, she noticed it was already the next day and the three of them still weren't back. She immediately tried calling Kenos, but he didn't respond. She did the same a few more times but to no avail. She looked at the door, scared.

Yuzui: Oh...I'm really gonna have to look for them.

She put the hood on and grabbed the scarf. She went out through the balcony, as she looked at the outside world, she noticed that ash was falling from the sky.

She climbed the building by throwing her daggers and climbing onto them, she used the building to boost herself up as well. Once she had reached the top, she noticed a huge blue fire, far away. The clouds were converging in one area as if they were being moved by someone.

Yuzui: What did this dude get into now...?

She grabbed a dagger and aimed it towards the fire, she stepped back a bit. She ran forward and threw the dagger with all her strength. The dagger flew in the air passing many buildings along the way. Yuzui grabbed her other dagger and stepped back.

As she ran forward again she was transported where the other dagger was flying. She was being flung forward from the momentum of the first dagger she threw. She threw the other dagger forward, and it went ahead of her and onto a building. She was then transported onto the said building. As she stumbled forward a bit, she saw that she was almost to the fire.

Yuzui: What the hell is happening here?

A portal appeared behind Yuzui, she looked back immediately.

Yuzui: Ken-

As she stopped, she re-summoned her daggers.

Stella: I'm not here for a fight.

Yuzui: Where are Acheron and Nahe?

Stella: Relax, they're safe. I just need them.

Yuzui moved back away from him.

Stella: Be careful, you'll fall.

Yuzui: Why are you here?

Stella: Same as you, looking for Ken.

Yuzui: Why?

Stella: I require him. Look, you can ask questions all day, or you can help me find him.

Yuzui tried using her power to read his mind. Stella immediately summoned his axe and pinned her down on the floor. His eyes turned black, and his pupils were white.

Stella: Help me find him, or he'll be the one looking for you.

Yuzui threw her dagger to the other side of the roof and transported away.

Stella: You don't want this fight Zuzu.

Her eyes lit up a neon pink again. As she grabbed her daggers by the blade.

Stella : Aaand here we go...

Stella stood still in the center as Yuzui ran around him doing the throwing motions with the daggers. Stella took a hand out of his hoodie's pocket and pointed a finger at her. A clone of him ran over to her with the axe in hand.

As the clone swung at her, Yuzui stopped the attack by grabbing the axe by the blade, her hand unscathed. She moved the axe back and dug through the clone with it.

Stella sighed.

As she finished circling him, she grabbed her daggers by the grip again and the projectiles appeared to attack Stella. As he smiled, a translucent and orange bubble surrounded him, it protected him from the projectiles. Yuzui saw no opening and froze for a second, giving Stella time to counter attack.

Stella: My turn.

He stretched his arm and grabbed Yuzui up by the neck and moved her over the ledge. Her daggers were unsummoned as she tried getting his hand off.

Stella: Look, you got one last chance. Help me and don't try to read my mind, Hun. It's for your own good.

He moved her back onto the roof, and she regained her breath.

Yuzui: cough Fine...but you better not be planning anything when you find him.

Stella: I just need a favor.

Yuzui: Like he'll help you...

Stella: Is that anyway to treat your father-in-law?

Yuzui: Shut up...

She walked over to the edge of the building to see if she saw any sign of the others in the fire.

Stella: The fire definitely has something to do with it but...this is an unusual amount of smoke.

Yuzui: It's a big fire, what do you expect?

Stella: Yeah but this fire is intense...it's not going away at all, so there shouldn't be...oh.

Yuzui: What?

Stella: Look over there.

She turned her gaze over to where he pointed.

Yuzui: What...is that?

Stella: That's a fucking Phoenix...not only that but...

He pointed elsewhere and she looked.

Stella: You see like two bright lights?

Yuzui: Aren't those like...flares?

Stella: Those are eyes, that's an Enenra.

Yuzui: A what?

Stella: Monstras.

Yuzui: Ohhh, so how do we kill it?

Stella summoned his axe and spun it with one hand.

Stella: One would usually kill it by giving them some blunt force...and maybe some trauma.

Yuzui: I can get behind that.

Acheron: So now that he's gone, wanna check the room?

Nahe: Are you insane?

Acheron: Maybe.

Nahe: Haven't you ever heard of "Curiosity killed the cat"?

Acheron: Yeah, that's why I wanna go.

Nahe: Oh my fucking god!
