The group decided to sleep for the day. Since there were two bedrooms, the group split into a smaller group.
Volk: I can literally sleep on the floor, I don't mind.
Sobaka: Same here.
Kitsune: Well how about...Okami, Inu, and I sleep in one bedroom and Lykos, Alepou, and Skylos sleep in another. That way, you and Volk can sleep on the couch, so you don't sleep on the floor.
Lykos: Guys, I think this couch turns into a futon...
The group looked at him as he turned the couch into a futon.
Lykos: See, you just had to turn this part back.
Volk: Well that settles that.
Everyone said goodnight to each other, Lykos and Alepou headed to the front of the house to enjoy the view for a while.
Lykos: Hey Ale, you remember the dream I had talked about?
Alepou: Yeah, the one with 8 people and.... oh. What about it?
Lykos: I'm sure you realized by now...I hope this is just some massive coincidence.
Alepou: Right...I mean, you don't have a Telum, so I don't think any other bizarre thing will happen.
Lykos: Right...let's just hope I don't magically get one...
Alepou: Hmm...
The two stared at the night sky for a while.
Lykos: You know, when I said that we should go out....this wasn't my idea...
Alepou: Pfft, mine neither. We can enjoy being out here for a while though, it's nice to be away from home.
Lykos: Yeah but I wish it was more formal, we're out here freezing our asses off.
Alepou: True but...
She got closer to Lykos and put her arm around him.
Alepou: We have each other to stay warm.
Lykos: Heh...
He put his arm around Alepou and they both continued staring at the sky. After a few minutes, Lykos noticed that Alepou had fallen asleep on him. He smiled and rubbed her hair. He stood up and proceeded to carry her to the room they'd be staying at.
Once he got there, he tucked her into bed and left the room, he sat outside the door to think. "I hope this is just a massive coincidence and that everything turns out alright. I don't know what I'll do if anything happens to them...I would never forgive myself." He looked at the ground and started feeling a bit dizzy, he closed his eyes for a second and opened them to see the place was completely dark. He felt two people behind him and immediately stood up.
Lykos: Who's there?
Okami: Lykos?
Volk: Okami?
Lykos: It's you two...why is everything so dark?
Okami: 'Where are we?' is the question you should ask. We were all in our respective rooms, right?
Volk: Yeah, I was still in the living room.
?: You three aren't in the same places you were.
Lykos immediately recognized that voice, he had heard it back in his city.
Lykos: You again?
?: Hmm, I'm surprised you're still alive. You should've died back then along with your city...
Volk: What do you want?
?: What do I want? Hahaha, I want you three off the face of this planet.
Okami: What the hell did we do to you?
?: Your existence is an annoyance. You're plagued with HIS genes.
Lykos: Who the hell are you talking about?
?: Oh, you don't know?
She started laughing at the comment and the 3 of them stood back to back.
?: You'll find out soon enough, for now, let me make your life a living hell.
The 3 of them woke up in their respective places, they went to check on each other.
Okami: So it wasn't a dream...huh.
Lykos: What are we gonna do?
Volk: What CAN we do? We'll just have to be careful...
The 3 of them look at each other and agreed. They also agreed on keeping this to themselves for now. They headed back to their respective places and drifted off to sleep. Lykos stayed awake until he no longer could. The next day arrived and the 8 of them decide to stay in because the winds are strong outside once again. The group sat down in the living room and started talking about their lives. Okami and Inu started talking about their lives in Japan growing up.
Alepou: That sounds so much easier than what we went through...
Skylos: My thoughts exactly...
Okami: What the hell did you go through then?
Skylos: Well basically...
As soon as Skylos spoke, an explosion was heard in the distance and the power in the house was knocked out. Okami and Volk looked at each other and nodded.
Volk: We've gotta head out now. Explosions are never good.
Sobaka: No shit.
Inu: Hold on a second.
He closed his eyes for a few seconds and concentrated on something.
Inu: Yeah, we gotta leave.
Okami: What did you see?
Inu: No time. Alepou, get Lykos from the room and let's head out. Everyone else, pack all the stuff we need, NOW.
Everyone started packing everything they needed to survive, they took some clothes that were left in the house from before. Inu went through the front door and a light filled his hands again.
Volk: You also have a Telum?
Inu: Yeah, you should use your armor as well.
Volk: Right.
Volk gave his bag to Sobaka and went to the front with Inu. A yellow light filled Volk's body and out of thin air, he was covered in armor with a cape and a shield.
Volk: What the hell are we fighting though?
Inu: Just a bunch of Harpies.... Harpi? Whatever the plural form of a harpy is.
Volk looked up to the sky and saw at least 100 figures in the sky.
Volk: JUST A BUNCH?!
Inu: Don't worry, it'll be easy.
Volk: IT BETTER BE! THESE THINGS ARE BASICALLY FLYING RATS!
Inu: Calm down, the future seems fine.
Volk sighed and prepared for the battle that was to come, they all prepared to battle as well.
