What I never knew I always wanted (Robsten story) -ON HOLD

32-week appointment

10 am, Kristen and Rob were sitting in the waiting room, waiting to be called back. Kristen had her head on Rob's shoulder, it had already been a stressful morning. The paparazzi were the worst that they had been in a while and they both knew why. It had been hell trying to get into the doctor's office, Kristen kept her hand protectively on her stomach as they maneuvered their way through the swarm of paps all wanting answers and pictures from her. Rob stayed in front of her while having a hold on the hand that was not on her stomach, she had screamed at them

"Fucking get away from us!!!" she had growled with a look in her eyes that Rob had never seen before. He knew she had gone into mommy protection mode and knew not to mess with her. Once inside Kristen looked at him and he could see her eyes soften. Robert started quietly laughing

"What is so funny?" Kristen asked slightly irritated

"I have never seen that look in your eyes. I told you, Kristen, that you would be protective and you looked like you were about to murder them if they touched you"

"Damn right! No one is going to hurt our daughter. I don't care about me, it's her I care about."

"Between us both, I think our daughter will be just fine" Rob winked. He put his arm around Kristen's waist as they headed to the waiting room

The feel of the gel on her skin made Kristen shudder, it was so cold to her. She watched as the image of their baby popped up onto the screen. She had read online about 4D ultrasounds and decided that she wanted to get one done. Rob and she were both amazed when they saw their baby in 4D form, the way she would squirm around on the screen made Kristen's heart flutter.

"She's trying to get away from the probe" the tech explained

Kristen watched as her daughter started crying on screen, she didn't even know that was possible. Placing her hand on the side of her stomach, she started to whisper.

"Hey, what's wrong love? You're alright." Kristen whispered, her eyes never leaving the screen.

"Keep talking to her Kristen," the tech said

"Mommy's here sweetheart, I love you. I know it been a long day already."

Slowly, the baby calmed down and they both watched as she looked around for her momma's voice

"Soon baby girl soon" Kristen whispered

After the appointment and another hellish encounter with the paps, they were finally home. Kristen curled up on the couch with a plate of leftover eggs and a glass of water.

"I think with the paparazzi mob and the probe I think she was just overwhelmed," Kristen said

"Yeah, that's what I was thinking"

"I actually never knew babies could cry in the womb" Kristen mused

"Me either, it was cool to see...in a way "

"Yeah, I know what you are saying."

Kristen finished her light meal and headed upstairs to take a bath, she needed the warm water. Rob followed her and helped her climb in. with Kristen being the danger magnet she naturally was, Rob would help her with things like getting into the bathtub. Kristen was grateful his help because she knew she was a danger to herself and their baby naturally

The water felt amazing for Kristen, she was exhausted and she had barely done anything today! All she did was fight off paparazzi and went to a doctors appointment, she hated that she didn't really have much energy like she used to anymore. She kept her focus on that it was a good sign all this was happening to her, the weight gain, cravings, total exhaustion meant that their baby was developing like she should and that made everything worth it to Kristen.

Rob! Kristen called knowing he was right in the bedroom when she was done. He came in and helped her out and wrapped a towel around her. Rob stood there taking in the new curves of Kristen's body, he loved watching her body grow and adapt to their baby. Kristen was still tiny, the only thing that had really changed was her now huge belly and one cup size up of her breasts. The rest of her was the same as it had always been.

"I am going to go take a nap," Kristen said, Bringing Rob out of his perverted gaze and mind.

"Alright, love," he said as he kissed her. "I will wake you for dinner alright?"

"Sounds good." She made her way into their room and curled up under the covers instantly falling asleep. Robert went and let the dogs out before making himself comfortable on the couch, He had a lovely conversation with his mother who had called to check in on them before deciding to join Kristen in dream land.

Waking up a few hours later, Kristen went to the bathroom and headed down to the kitchen. She saw the dogs waiting patiently by the back door to be let in and laughed while she went to let them in

"Sorry guys, guess daddy forgot to let you guys in." Kristen giggled. She went over to the couch and curled up only to be joined by Bear who snuggled himself into her, resting his head on her stomach. She turned on the tv and watched The food network as she waited for Rob to wake up so they could have dinner together. She was determined to hold off until he woke up despite her stomach and baby's protest at the lack of food.

When Rob woke up about an hour later, Kristen had made spaghetti and mushroom soup for the both of them. She grabbed a bottle of Pinot Noir out of the cabinet pouring a glass for them both as Rob sat down. The doctor had given her the ok to have one glass of wine a week and said that it was actually beneficial to the baby. Rob and she talked about life and what was going to happen after their little girl was here, they finished off the night by cuddling each other on the couch watching Goodwill hunting. When Rob noticed that Kristen had fallen asleep he slowly got up and scooped her up and took her upstairs to bed before joining her.
