THE FIRST THING Beck did when she got home was give Luka a bath.

He was mostly accepting of it. He sat in the warm water, watching Beck wash and cut his greasy hair. He actually enjoyed it.

Now the two were in Beck's room. The small blonde had a towel draped over Luka's head, rubbing out the extra water from his hair as he sat on her bed. When Beck pulled the towel away, Luka looked up at her with a silly grin, his now cut blond hair falling in his eyes.

"There, better," Beck smiled as she tossed the towel into her hamper.

"Better," Luka repeated as he pulled at the flannel shirt Beck had given him. On his legs was a baggy pair of jeans that belonged to Stilinski while he wore a t-shirt and flannel shirt Beck had stolen from Stiles. The new clothes felt foreign to Luka, who picked at the fabrics.

"You'll get used to it," Beck giggled as she watched Luka.

Luka nodded his head once before turning to the pile of his old clothes. He grabbed his pants, peering into the pockets. "Matilda?" He called, panicking slightly when he couldn't find the familiar.

"She's right here Luka," Beck said soothingly, holding up an old shoe box. She handed Luka the box. It was filled with old pieces of fabric.

"Matilda?" Luka called again. Squeaking, Matilda popped her head out of the little clothes, looking up at Luka expectantly. "Matilda."

The mouse squeaked again, rubbing at her face before disappearing back into the fabrics.

Placing the box next to him, Luka looked up at Beck as she began to run her fingers through his hair. Inspecting the haircut she gave him.

"Snip snip?" Luka murmured, making a scissors motion with his fingers.

"No, I think it's good for now," Beck hummed, shaking her head. "Hey, you need to eat," the small blonde instructed, gesturing down to the plate full of food sitting on her bed before leaving to clean the bathroom.

It was his second serving.

Luka smiled, grabbing the plate before shoveling its contents into his mouth. Even though it was only a sandwich and some fruit, it was a hell of a lot better than what was served at Eichen.

Aristotle released a meow as he jumped onto Luka's lap, rubbing his head on the older witch's chest. Instantly, Luka placed the plate down to start scratching the cat's head.

"Pretty kitty," he murmured as Aristotle draped himself across Luka's lap, enjoying the head-scratching he was receiving. Matilda released an angry squeak from her box at the loud purring Aristotle was releasing. Luka reached into the box, scratching Matilda's head to calm her. "My familiar."

Beck cleaned the small mess she and Luka had made in the bathroom, picking up discarded bottles and trying to mop up the puddles of water. Releasing a breath, Beck pulled some hair behind her ear as she glanced around. That was as good as it was gonna get.

She switched off the light when she heard what sounded like a door closing from downstairs.

Beck froze in her place, eyes widening slightly. It couldn't be Stilinski, he was working the night shift to cover for the teenagers' forced release of Lydia and Luka at Eichen House. And Stiles was most likely staying by Lydia's side till he was positive she was okay.

Slipping off her booties, Beck tiptoed slowly to her room, stepping over the boards she knew would release a squeak. Once she reached her room, she shut the door quietly behind her as she flipped off the lights.
