"I mean oka-" you start.

"I'll be it" Ghost interrupted.

"Shouldn't we ask Soap an-"

"No"

"But shouldn't tag be between more than two people?" You asked confused.

"Their busy aren't they" He said.

"Well yeah but-"

"So just us is fine" He inserted.

"But-"

"One ..." He cut you off as he started to count.

You stared at him blankly, this hardly seemed like a game of tag.

"...two"

You looked across in front of you and back at him before you took off running across the training grounds.

Your shoes against the concrete as you built your momentum up. You focused on your breathing as you picked up pace, making it to the other side in no time before sprinting through the trees.

You were barely a few seconds into running before you heard him call out that he was ready. You moved your arms faster knowing it helped you run quicker.

You dodged through the trees, leaves rustling in your wake and dirt kicking up as you pushed yourself off with every step building speed.

You weaved through the forest, snapping small twigs and shaking bushes as you pushed through.

You could hear him in the distance chasing, you could tell he was a good distance away. You knew the forest like the back of your hand.

You pushed yourself faster before halting, stepping yourself down to slow not wanting to leave marks in the dirt.

You ducked behind a tree, keeping your breathing steady and quiet as you heard him approaching. You held your breathe as you heard him stop, somehow knowing that you must've quit running.

"Rookie I haven't heard any noises pointing to the fact your still running" He said, even though you couldn't see him you could hear the smirk on his lips while he spoke.

"Cmon Rookie I'm not oblivious" He laughed through soft pants. You peered around the tree that you had your back pressed against.

His back was too you, hands on hips as he scanned the opposite way.

You took off quickly, darting through the shrub. You heard him immediately start chasing you with a deep chuckle.

You felt the adrenaline in your veins as if you were actually being chased.

You ducked and weaved through forestry, hearing him behind you. You took sharp turns to throw him off your trail but now that he had caught sight of you he wasn't letting you disappear.

You kept good distance between you two but admittedly the chase was wearing you out. You broke through the forest line, into the rocky terrain that mixed within the mud from the forest, the lake was to your left. You sprinted across in the direction of the house.

You jumped and leapt over rigid stone and rocky slops. Occasionally darting back through the trees before running along the forests edge, keeping your eye on the lake so you could keep track of your location.

Ghost never slowed behind you, keeping steady as he chased. He watched your moves, knowing what to do as you gave it away without choice.

You looked back, seeing him chase you gave you butterflies in a feared way.

He caught your eye, seemingly pleased by your reaction as he sped up. You picked up your pace too, thinking over your next moves while appearing and disappearing along the forest line.
