Your eyes snapped open with a sharp blink. You were facing the alarm clock, the red letters displaying the time.

[03:12am]

This was the third time you had woken up; the last two times were unknown as to what had woken you up, but this time it was a nightmare.

You usually just rolled over and went back to sleep but even after doing this you couldn't. Your throat was dry beyond belief, and you didn't have an old water bottle beside your bed that you could reach over and drink.

You flipped the covers off, shuffling to the edge of the bed with a tired huff, you dragged a blanket off your bed, wrapping it around your shoulders like a cape as you yawned.

You opened your door rubbing your eye as you did a double take to Keegan. He offered you a grin before glancing at his watch.

Your body woke up immediately, dropping your hands from your face as you scowled. "Keegan, I said sleep." you muttered, looking at the dim light of the tv, it was muted, and the subtitles were on.

"Little early to be getting up, no?" he says, switching the subject as you walk to the kitchen, grabbing water from the fridge and taking a long drink. You sighed, walking up behind the couch folding your arms as you looked at what he was watching.

"What are you watching?" you asked after a few minutes passed; interest already piqued as he shrugged.

"Some talking candle and beast." he says vaguely. "I can't read the subtitles and the watch, so I decided I'd just watch and attempt to read their lips." he chuckles.

"I told you to sleep." you say again standing up straight as you tilt your head to see into your room at the clock. "It's 3am, have you slept?" you ask.

He shakes his head, and you frown, you leave back to your room before hurling a pillow at his head. He turns to you with an offended look which you return with narrowed eyes, "Sleep." you say as you toss a blanket over his lap, walking over.

"Why is it muted?" you grunt, turning to the tv as you stand beside the couch.

"You were asleep." he says. You nod slowly, eyes searching for the remote before you unmute it. Adjusting the volume as your attention is drawn away to the animated movie.

Time passes and you find yourself leaning on the armrest of the couch, you glance at Keegan who has his arms folded on the pillow in his lap, his legs up on the coffee table. You're about to say something about sleep but dialogue catches your focus.

After a while your legs strain to keep standing and you move around, sitting down on the couch beside Keegan as you both stayed glued to the tv. "Why do they talk?" you ask watching as the closet starts talking.

"No clue, I missed the first half." Keegan says back. "That lady likes the bear." he says after a moment, pointing to the screen as you nod.

"Little weird." you mutter as he hums in agreement. You tuck your legs up underneath you, enclosing the blanket tighter around your shoulders as you sink down into the couch.

You open your eyes to the beeping of your alarm clock, you're confused for a moment before you recognize your dorm. You look at your wrist, finding that you had taken your watch off, the television playing some nature show.

Your eyes look up at the ceiling, a grin stretching across your face as Keegan looks down at you, his mask flipped up as you see his smile. "Morning lil' mama." he chuckles, his face is still hidden under all his layers even out of gear.
