Ghost was quick to react, much to your surprise. Considering he'd been so calm and collected about the whole ordeal.

It was almost like it was a disguise to shelter how he really felt. You put the can down with a firm thud on the table and grunted in annoyance.

"Enlightened?" Keegan had said before laughing. You felt his fingers slip around your waist the tiniest inch while his eyes focused on Ghost.

You didn't have time to get up yourself, surrendering your chair to Keegan to avoid the outcomes. Ghost had grabbed your wrist roughly, not seeming to treat you that harshly but in the heat of the moment he did so.

You winced as he tugged you up to your feet with a menacing glare towards Keegan, it was cold and piercing, only making Keegan chuckle.

"Hardly" Ghost growled, a husky breath of controlled anger.

He stood up, almost pushing you down in the seat he sat in, his eyes never leaving Keegan's. "Didn't know it'd bother you that much" Keegan shrugged.

You glanced around, no one else focused on the banter apart from soap who caught your eye. You gave a shrug to which he returned, your eyes finding their way back to Ghost.

"It doesn't bother me, but do you think that's appropriate" He snarls.

"You want to talk about what's appropriate sir?" Keegan smiled under his mask.

Ghost gave an annoyed sigh, grabbing himself a drink and cracking it open while shaking his head. "Whatever you want to say I'm sure it's none of your concern" He grunts.

"Relax sir, no one was harmed" Keegan says, dropping the discussion at hand with a careless shrug. "You're quite the hypocrite aren't you?" He chuckles.

Ghost grunts, an agreeing hum of amusement as he glances back at you. He turns to Keegan, "I think its best you should turn in for the night soldier" He mutters as Keegan slackens against his chair.

"No need" He mumbles back brushing his hand about dismissively.

"Go back to your dorm." Ghost says more sternly. Keegan looks up at him, clearly frowning under the mask.

"I'll do it on my own account not yours" he huffs getting up.

"Whatever you want" Ghost says folding his arms as you both watch Keegan walk away, it was obvious he was trying not to stagger.

Ghost turned to you once he'd left. "Missions at 3 tomorrow, afternoon" he gives a small nod, waiting for one in return to show you understood him without having to talk in reply.

You nodded back at him, noting the time and tucking it away in your mind as you watched Ghost check his watch. He said something to Soap, exchanged a few words to Alejandro before heading towards Price.

You stood up, peeling your attention away from him as you found a steady footing. "Think I'll clock in for the night" you huff tiredly.

Soap turned, looking up at you and nodding. "Want me to walk you back to your dorm Rook?" He asked.

You smiled, shaking your head. "Thanks though" you mumbled with a small yawn.

That night you slept decently, the sleep finally catching up to you from the past week. As soon as you reached your dorm you had fallen asleep wearing your gear and all.

You had woken up earlier than usual, due to the suspicious amount of sleep your body was getting, with a stretch and yawn you stood up walking from your room towards the kitchen. You downed a glass of water and looked about.
